I think it's important to understand that "mental disorder" is a man-made label, and only exists because we decided it would be easier for us if it did. Some psychologists don't even agree that there is such thing. But if there is, the only reason homosexuality isn't officially considered one is because it's not "politically correct."

But assumptions that were totally valid within the experience of those individuals. People who believe in God today often do it the same way, and it's no less valid. Obviously this example is an exaggeration, but it is a process that we all do. Even hard scientists.

I don't get how it wasn't a democracy before. Pretty sure it still worked exactly the same way. The democracy was just expanded.
