Never thought they were

Soul eater on the other hand is a very good anime and it's worth watching but it's quite child like. The concept is brilliant and there is a lot of humour as well as serious down-to-business action and I love the struggle of soul's (one of the main characters) internal struggle. I like the originality, the humour, the action and the characters are very lovable.
Also, if you enjoyed Blue exorcist, I recommend 'Tokyo Ravens'- a very underrated series but amazing non the less. However, the anime feels incomplete and I feel that it certainly deserves a second season. (I still need to read the manga)

I would recommend Akame ga kill because the action is very much on point and I like the fact that every character has a backstory (even the side characters). I do have criticisms, the anime and the manga are fast paced so it's hard to warm up to dorm characters, the anime doesn't even go into the backstory of the MAIN characters backstory (his supposed best friends are there for like an episode) and his original motives to come to the big city were completely forgotten.
But I still think you should watch it, it's a good time pass anime.
