I'm guessing they're working harder to show their boss work will go on even better if he/she is not there. That will make the boss more inclined to miss out of work more often, giving his workers a more relaxed atmosphere to work in ie. less pressure. It's a type of psychological conditioning.

My husband and I are planning the same thing, honestly we thought we're the only ones. We don't want to have our own children but would love to adopt few :) It's a nice feeling to know we're not only ones!

My cat is VERY talkative, especially if he wants cuddles or to play.
He so far learned to recognize quite a few words, aka he knows when we're talking about him, he recognizes words such as cat, kitty, sweety, ball of fur, etc.
The weird part is, when he wants my attention - he calls me MOM. Even though we've never taught him that word! He doesn't use that kind of meow with anybody else, and it always sounds perfectly like MOM. Even people who've never been to our house before and hear him say it for the first time go 'WTF? he called you mom??'
He also says HEWO? when meowing at other cats outside the window. It's hilarious XD

@guest_ Actually, I'm married, but I agree with your advice. There is a guy pestering me online who only needs someone to talk all day long about how he's lonely and he's gonna kill himself, but shoots down any and all advice given to him. Always finds an excuse for everything. So I actually meant to send this to him, lol.

And then there's a whole area on one side of your mouth that has no teeth whatsoever because you had them removed when they couldn't be repaired anymore, ages ago. But NO your body won't grow a tooth there, heavens forbid, it would rather grow them in the same frickin' spot where other, healthy teeth are still growing!! I hate this body!

But how about a shower heads that turn on water when you step under them automatically, you know like the water faucets on sinks in some of the malls?
