Somethings are bad and should be punished. But sometimes i lie because I did less than well on an school assignment and don't want to get a bad punishment because of one bad grade when i usually do better

i always thought i was a bad liar until i realized how often and easily i could lie to my parents. When parents are more strict and overprotective, there is less trust and connection between them and children. The kids quickly learn to lie to avoid a (maybe unnecesarily) severe punishment.
