Unfortunately, well these are good intentioned, they are symptomatic of a larger problem. Many people believe that situation is the most critical thing that effects happiness. And the logical extreme of this is anyone unhappy in a relatively good situation is just a crybaby.
If that doesn't sound like a problem to you, I hate to be the one to have to tell you: you are the problem. There are so many things that effect happiness, situation is a factor sure, but I don't even think it's the most important factor. And while attitude is important, I don't think anyone just wakes up and decides to have a negative attitude. Our experiences shape us, as does our genetic predisposition to mental health.
And while situation has a huge role in happiness, its relative to personal experience. I know people who at 18 years old were more stressed that they ever had been and were losing sleep, struggling to maintain normal relationships, and genuinely believed themselves to be failures...

100% with @calmthelovelytits
Also, most of the time people who are hospitalized for mental health reasons DO see each other. Isolation is not good for mental health. So hanging out, telling jokes and giving hugs, 100% does happen. Males and females usually aren't allowed in each others bedrooms, so the girl telling the boy stories is probably unrealistic. But most of these actually could happen.
The following is a real experience I had recently as I work with people who have mental disorders full time.
A man I work with has depression, an explosive anger disorder, and schizophrenia. Yesterday he spent 20 min on the phone gentley telling his girlfriend not to cry and reassuring her that he would come visit because she was upset about him moving. He is scared as hell about moving. He told his guardian on the phone he didn't want to move because he is scared. But while he was on the phone will her, he was strong for her sake.

This is actually really unfair. It's one thing to uninvite someone for being annoying/pushing their beliefs on others. But this is ridiculous. If I were in this group, I would have left the group immediately after that.

You can check for double yolks by holding an egg up to a light source. Double yoked eggs occur naturally in about 1/1000 eggs. Double yoked eggs also have a tendency to be larger and more fragile. These eggs are more likely to be produced by young hen's, and there is also a genetic component, causing some hen's to just be more likely to lay them.
I am not familiar with the specifics but I would guess that double yoked eggs are simply sorted from the rest and sold independently. Its possible that some farmers may try to produce double yoked eggs intentionally, but I don't know how viable that would be.

Unless you have the sheer wealth for it. You play long enough, at some point you can enchant every armour and tool you have with mending and unbreaking. (Plus a number if other useful enchantments) at some point you just have the excess wealth to craft a diamond hoe enchanted with mending and unbreaking. You have the last hoe you will ever need.

The problem here is that you should use your computer in an air conditioned space during warmer times of the year. Over heating your computer can damage it.

Except they don't do nothing. Adulthood is for mating. As babies they do eat. Then they metamorphose into adults. Then they spend a week trying to mate every night. Then they die.

Sure, sure. But it's one thing to sell an item for less to attract customers. What ends up happening in some cases is that one company (like WalMart) will drop prices on enough items for long enough that their competitors go out if business. Resulting in no competition to keep prices low or service important.
These kinds of practices aren't so much a problem in big cities, but in small towns it often means when WalMart comes in, it becomes the only option. And eliminating the competition means you no longer have to compete. Which means the market losses its ability to self regulate and can treat customers and employees however they want.

That being said, WalMart is actually intentionally disruptive. I have seen them come into a town, price things that their competitors thrive off selling so low that they are losing money. And wait it out until the competition leaves. Then WalMart raises their prices to optimize profits. And they can do this successfully because they are a huge corporation that can afford to lose money in the short run to the end if long term profits.

I just want to point out that constantly thinking about food isn't healthy. Its obsessive. It often causes unhealthy eating in one way or another (whether you over eat because you are too indulgent, or you under eat because you are dieting excessively). I work with disabled people and every weekend they go out to eat on Saterday. Every other weekend it's my job to take them. And every Sunday there is one woman who wants to know where we are going in two weeks. And she will keep asking until a decision has been made. And then she will spend excessive amounts of time talking about going, figuring out what healthy options to eat are, and just generally obsessing. When we get there she ends up ordering what she really wants, which is never healthy, anyway. This is not a healthy behavior.
So well yeah, having an idea of what you want to eat before it's time to eat is a good idea, thinking about it all the time is not something to celebrate.

Voltaire's is the best 8 comments

The best thing about that is that it is such a Voltarie thing to do. He is also responsible for saying "It is dangerous to be right in matter on which the established authorities are wrong." And "The truths of religion are never so well understood as by those who have lost the power of reason."

@guest_ I believe your point was intended to be violence isn't new. And I agree completely, both with that being true and with that being a good agrugement.
Also, on the matter of near constant war, it isn't just Americans either. Humans have been at war somewhere on the planet in most every year of recorded history. Some places have certainly seen more war than others, and we have seen periods of relative peace, but most of those have been localized to particular regions. Humans, as a species, have always viewed violence as an acceptable means to survival. If not our own personal survival, the survival of our families.

Maybe, but as a matter of ethics you shouldn't spread information that is so dangerously incomplete if you know well enough to understand your information is dangerously simplified.
Also, you shouldn't agruge when people are trying to clarify your information. Especially when you have presented dangerously over simplified information. But also, like ever. More information is good.

It bothers me that these are not set up like an alignment system of PBJ
Which would go:
Rows: Jelly, Honey, Marshmello
Columns: Creamy, Crunchy, Nutella
Causing Creamy and Jelly to be Lawful Good. And Marshmellow Nutella to be Chatoic Evil.

Don't get me wrong-I think there are some serious flaws in the logic that video games make people violent. And I think that advocating for ignorance is a poor decision in any subject. However-I do want to point out a flaw in the response. There is no way in hell your school taught you the strategies nessicary for successful genocide. The women's (inaccurate) statement was that video games taught her son how to use guns. And if that were somehow true (I'm genuinely excited for the future of gaming where video games can teach you how to use real guns) then "school taught me about genocide " would be a pretty weak agrugement.
Especially when there are actually good arguments. Like the fact that shooting a gun is a fairly intuitive task, where as using one effectively specifically at the target you want to hit is so difficult that trained marksmen still miss on a regular basis. So learning how to use a gun well actually makes you less of a danger when using a gun.

...from the mom. This girl should have been put in child protective services. However, because she refused to tell cops she was being abused, and there were not obvious physical signs, there was literally nothing they could do by Iowa law. [Also, these cops showed up thinking the adults who were at the house were the problem, and ended up finding it regrettable that they couldn't do anything to help the kid. No charges were pressed on anyone] Because in the state of Iowa, parents have more right to their children than their children have a right to safety. A child will not be removed from their parents home in Iowa unless the kid is being clearly abused, and then the kid is only removed for a short time where an investigation is run. If the parents aren't found conclusively guilty of abuse, the kid goes back home.

And it varies from state to state. In Iowa, if a child is willing to tell police they have suffered abuse that child is forced back into an abusive home. Even if the child is clearly afraid of the parents. I know a girl who was being emotionally abused with symptoms of sexual abuse (psychological effects, not clear physical ones). And Didn't want to go home. And the people (including myself) she was with didn't make her. (Which is abading a runaway, an aggravated misdemeanor) Well, when she refused to come home her mother called the cops. The cops came, demanded to speak to the kid alone (were told "no, she's a minor she should have a child advocate. Since one isn't here and neither are her parents, no.") Talked to the kid with me there. Kid hates talking to people, especially strangers. Ends up typing up a long winded message saying she doesn't want to go home, literally refuses to say why. This kid is afraid. Her mother shows up and cops literally see this girl recoil away...

I absolutely couldn't tell you the last time I jumped up as a means of travel. I have definitely bounced in place (dancing) I have jumped down plenty of times, and it's not exactly weird to jump over something. Maybe part of this is I like to go hiking, and jumping small chasms or creeks is a lit easier than trying to find a path around.
But most people I know (myself definitely included) can't jump high enough to land any higher than their feet could step, so jumping up is an activity that is only reach useful for humans to grab something. I'm tall enough that this is a rare event for me. I have definitely witnessed my roommate jump in order to reach items on a shelf that was too high for her.
In video games, taking a large step up isn't really an option. The animation would definitely be awkward and it wouldn't feel as good as jumping. Some video games also let you jump higher than real life people can step. In real life, you would have to climb that.
