I flip over my phone for 3 reasons
1) It's not such a huge deal, but old phones had the danger of light damage on the screens and I never lost the habit
2) If something falls on the phone, it doesn't hit and break the screen
3) As stated in the post, it's so you know I'm paying attention to you
