As far as I can recall, no, they are not. Guess that takes away the only thing Madara had going for him, as Goku has now far outstripped the speed of gravity. Making the eyes null and void in their fight because Madara will have no time to activate them.

After reading about the Senju, I feel that there would not be a fight between Goku and this clan.
Ok, lets get on to the Madara vs. Goku bit. Madara has the Rinnegan, and by extension the six paths. Path 1 through 4, whoop-dee-doo. Then we get to path five, the human path. Allowing the user to read the minds of the victim, at the cost of the victims life. Hm, that could pose an issue for the intrepid space faring saiyan, Goku. Some could argue that Goku doesn't think, I won't take that route. I will simply say that in order for the Human path to activate, the user has to place a hand on the victim's head or chest, which is just not going to happen with the speed at which Goku can move. I'm sure you'll recall the countless times bystanders have complained about not being able to track the movements of the fight.
Hold on, the sharingan and the other eyes are not activated reflexively, are they?
