My guess is she fell against one of the stands and that caused a domino effect, and the crowns were damaged by falling, imagine dropping a plate on the ground

It has nothing to do with quantum physics. The mist you see is probably some contained liquid nitrogen on a superconductor. (I think) It allows the "car" to stay above the track but not touch the track allowing no friction. It's called the Meisner Effect, it's really cool.

True, but like the article said, most studs are 16 inches apart, so using common sense it would be pretty easy to distinguish studs from pipes or wiring. Additionally, many modern stud finders have features that distinguish ac and metal from wooden studs.
