alright, if a 9mm from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9%C3%9719mm_Parabellum
has a weight of 0.0075 kg and a muzzle velocity of 380 m/s, then using the equation E(k in) = E(k out) (assuming no non-conservative forces), and the average person in a space suit is 224.528 kilograms( https://spaceflight.nasa.gov/outreach/SignificantIncidentsEVA/assets/space_suit_evolution.pdf)
then 1/2mv^2(bullet)=1/2mv^2(person).
doing the math, the person would have added 541.5 joules of kinetic energy and a velocity of 2.19 m/s.
That is of course assuming you have full force transfer from the bullet to the person, which probably wouldn't happen if you had an automatically reloading gun, or if the person wasn't holding the gun perpendicular to the center of mass.

thermodynamics breaks down a little when referring to a system as large as the earth in space, which is basically a heat-sucking void. plus, mining haley's comet for ice wouldn't solve climate change, which is why futurama used it for satire

I mean, what does colonial narcissism even mean? Couldn't she have just said "it sucks how we put so much focus on domesticated animals rather than wild animals?

I generally think it's a bad idea to brag about being smart. It makes you look conceited, and it often has the opposite effect. Plus it's more embarrassing when you do something stupid.
Horoscopes are bullsh*t 2 comments

good point, but machinations only contain as much power as the mind lets it. February, for example, might replace May, but because it is widely accepted as a format for time passing, and because it bears little to no personal significance (birthdays excluded), it is accepted. Horoscopes/signs are a mass produced "divination" targeted towards the individual using vague, non-specific (and often false) language. It carries no significance, isn't practical, and they may exist, but should be ignored.
