all due respect, but if we're stereotyping protesters, don't you think we should be stereotyping all police as murderers with authority? it seems obvious that violent protesters and violent police are a minority that are both in the wrong.

True, but the reason for the protest is still important. I would also hesitate to mark every protester as violent simply because some are using the chaos to riot/loot. In my state, police showed up in full riot gear at a musical tribute to a black man who was killed without cause.

You're right. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that while "I can't breathe" pertains to George Floyd's specific murder, the protests have grown in scale and importance to include the defunding of police and recognition for cases police brutality specifically against non-white and LGBT people.
