Anyway, it isn't the devils power. The only reason people think that is because the church wanted to stop pagan beliefs and practices and claimed some to be witches for doing such. Take midwives for example. They would help ease the pain of childbirth and take care of the mother and baby afterward, but the church thought it witchcraft and also that women MUST deal with the pain because of Eve and so they claimed witchcraft.
