I still disagree. Besides, I think it's silly to apply those "rules" to entire groups. Having lived in Asia I can assure, this isn't always the case. Actually it's mostly not the case.

Washing yourself with just water isn't completely hygienic, and neither is paper. Women, for example, have a greater chance of contracting a yeast infection if they only use water. The humidity creates a nice environment for bacteria and other organisms.
