But technically "American" could mean anywhere in South, Central, or North America and is not limited to the United States. But it does sound odd to say USAian.

Well, if he doesn't want the baby, I don't see how "even if he's never allowed to see the kid" is relevant. But child support is good when used properly. Plenty of people use it for their own things like shopping or dates, but if you use it to actually pay the bills and to do things for your kid, then it's good.

*Eat like Hobbits. I hereby propose that they include a "second breakfast" section to all the menus of restaurants, diners, and truck stops alike.

Well, I do happen to be a native English speaker, but I completely understand. I don't know what's so hard about understanding the difference between they're, their, and there!

It doesn't really seem like that would help. You could make a bunch of old bills and simply say they're old dollar bills. Is there more to it?

I would like to point out that pregnancy is different for everyone. Someone mentioned in another post that a lot of disabled kids aren't wanted for adoption, which is true. And also being pregnant is expensive itself and a lot of people don't have that money. There's a dozen different scenarios for dozens of women which is why I think abortion should be legal. You can't just take away that right from someone. And if you did, I imagine a lot more women would be dying from back-alley procedures in the middle of the night.

Exactly. What if the woman's body can't handle the child and the only way for her to survive is for abortion? Should we prevent that?

And let's not forget how expensive pregnancy can me. I mean, those doctor bills add up and some people really don't have that kind of money. Or what if you're some type of model or you're in a profession where it's important for your body to stay skinny or fit? Pregnancy could ruin your career. Honesty, it's different for everyone and that's why I don't think we should make abortion illegal because it's not the same for every woman and you shouldn't treat it as though it is.

That sounds like fun. Let's break the Internet? (But how has it not been broken already? I mean, remember the dinosaur gif? It seems like that would be enough to shatter anything . . . )

Rape culture is bullshit 24 comments

Nothing really popular glorifies rape (well, maybe some songs), but there are some things that do. There are plenty of graphic descriptions of rape and I hear people joke about rape all the time. It's disgusting. And like kissmysass says, plenty of people don't report rape. I know three women who have been raped and only one of them reported it and the guy ended up getting away anyways. Rape happens all the time, don't label it as some completely obscure act. Or someone will try to report it and they end up being accused of lying or the guy is founded not guilty because of some bullshit like "she was dressed promiscuously."

I'm sorry as well. :) Anyways, I think we best leave it at that, otherwise there's gonna be about fifteen more comments with us saying, "No, I'M sorry," which would probably annoy the crap out of everyone. It's basically the equivalent of those couples who say, "No, you hang up! . . . No, YOU hang up!" Haha, if I ever get a boyfriend/girlfriend, I would do that just to mess with people.

:) It's no problem. I'm willing to be kind to anyone who's even mildly awesome. (P.S. I'm girl, if you were wondering.)

homophobes, so she had a bit of a twisted understanding of them. Anytime we would get on the topic, we would either change the conjecture or we would rationally present our arguments and alter our own ways of thinking. Hell, some of your comments have caused me to think for a bit and has given me a broader understanding of homophobes in general.

Pansexual is when you don't care about the gender, sapiosexual is attracted to someone's intelligence or mind, so I'm both. I really don't care if you're a boy or a girl because the thing I find most sexy and beautiful is a brain.
Anyways, emperorpenguin is pretty awesome and he/she's actually intelligent enough to acknowledge this fact, so that automatically makes them cooler. Besides, it wasn't really that comment that made me like (not "like" like a crush, but "like" as a fellow individual) emperorpenguin. It was that comment plus a bunch of others they made which showed me that he/she is pretty awesome.
And I don't know how you got to, "you can just be a person who dislikes anyone who opposes you," because that's not true. If someone has a differing opinion on some topic, I may debate it and present my view, but that doesn't mean I dislike them. I had a friend with whom I disagreed with her views on homosexuality. She wasn't against it, per se, but she was raised by homophob

Yeah, probably. But there's been people who have lived with wild animals for a long time before being killed. I mean, besides the death, I'm sure the rest of those years were fantastic.

Or sapiosexual, if we're to get down to that. But I'm not sure if that's an actual thing.

Ugh. You don't decide to be gay. Anyways, I consider myself to be pansexual, so would that suffice for you?
