It's black henna, that's why it doesn't look like regular henna. It has more chemicals and isn't very safe for your skin.

If you can hold off the nervous sweats until it dries and you can apply sugar water, you're golden. Also, the bride's henna is usually much more intricate than this so the actual hand part is way past dry by the time it's finished. :)

I thought your comment was directed at me, so saying that I'm irrational for agreeing with garlog. Miscommunication, I apologize!

So you agree with hobbit? Is that what you're saying? There's a difference between us and animals and it's a good difference in most areas. An irrational person can say rational stuff, nobody is completely one thing. You should know that, you've said some pretty irrational things yourself.

Hobbit needs to live a year in the jungle and then we'll see how idealistic he/she feels

It's the same with me but I joined a sports team so I was sort of forced to come out of my bubble, maybe that could help you?

That wasn't meant to offend you if it did. I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything, just that it might help getting different friends.

You need to get new friends. I used to have a "best" friend who did that and it actually made me feel like my parents treating me like shit was an okay thing and that it's somehow my fault that it's all happening. Needless to say, I've grown apart from her and much closer to someone else and she really helps me through family things and doesn't say stupid shit like "they're your family".

afraid of the public backlash? How many more people victim blame? Saying that the male could've ALWAYS stopped it because he's stronger? Have you seen the video where a male is telling his friends that a woman raped him and he's crying and his friends are literally laughing at him? But if it had been switched, and he'd been a woman, the cops would've been called right away. What about men who get physically abused by their wives and are laughed at by the general public? What about men not being able to express how they truly feel in sentimental issues because they don't want to be called pussies for crying?
Just because there are places that have it worse, people that do, doesn't make our problems inconsequential. Feminism still has a long way to go everywhere.

I was with you there until the end. They have diverted from the feminism path immensely and made people abhor actual feminism because they think it's misandrism, yet feminism is still needed in the US and other first world countries and modern feminism is a thing. It's not about walking topless down the street but that any woman should be able to and not be able to be raped and if she is, there shouldn't be victim blaming. Saying that women don't have obstacles in first world countries is bullshit. In my own house, my dad constantly tells my mom how her only place is in the kitchen and cleaning the house and that my sister and I need to learn to do the same because we won't please our husbands otherwise. Even my mom has agreed on several occasions. Of course we've furthered our positions and made them see the wrongs in their thinking but it doesn't mean it's totally gone. And that is only a part of the WOMEN side of it.
How many rapes against men have gone uncalled because they were

You're still not getting the point, man. It's not surprising to anyone that there was sexism back then because no fucking shit. It's just a retelling that has you worked up far more than it should. Is it upsetting you because it's false? Most people know it's false.
Cavemen most likely weren't sexist as there really weren't many emotions evolved beyond getting hungry, wanting to obtain food, and reproducing.
Also, do you think feminism shouldn't be a thing? Or are you trying to refer to misandrism?

It's just telling the story from a different view and being able to dissect how this story has been passed on in the first place is how you find out more about the times and the people and the effect of it all on society of the time. Excuse people for trying to find out more about history of a different time. If you can't handle a retelling where it highlights all the sexism and patriarchalism in old times, then you have another thing coming. Obviously we can't change shit that already happened, but we can learn from it and see the inaccuracies if they are there.

There would be so many better policies for young people if we all just voted. Why do old people get all the good shit? Because they have the largest voter turnout.

Didn't sound like a joke, my apologies. A lot of people out there genuinely think art is not significant, you could've easily been one of them.
