Funnily enough, iirc the word vagina does, in fact, mean "sheath." The word Gladius meant "sword" and referred to the penis

I was intrigued until you got to the part about drugs, and then I spent the rest of the post emulating the "not sure if" meme from futurama.
After googling it, I've learned you were half correct-- apparently it has to do with people who were high ranking/rich in society spending their money on horses that were generally much larger/taller than the average person's horse. "So anyone riding a high horse was assumed to think they were better than everyone else."
Please. Stop 7 comments

Exactly. From what you've mentioned before, I'm not surprised you experience it. I can't say ive really been through any trauma on that level, and mine doesn't last for days. But I've had moments, sometimes lasting a few hours. It's almost like my brain becomes two seperate entities for me, with the one just looking around going:
"This may as well be a movie or a book or a dream or someone else entirely. And I dont even give a fuck." Not angry, just completely apathetic and detached. Sometimes even kind of amused because everything feels so far removed from myself. And sometimes it DOES feel liberating, which can be a little worrisome
The other part of my brain will be somewhere in the background going: "okay, but you know that IS real, right? That's you. That's happening. I mean, we should be caring about this."
Whether my brain decides to concede to the second part determines how long the episodes last.
Not sure if how I described it makes sense or not haha

I see. Well, Salt would be another thing I've never associated with putting directly on my toast. Adding that much salt seems like it would kind of go against the whole "avocados are super healthy for you" mantra

I don't think the point was that bad things don't happen, it was just trying to redirect thoughts towards the things in life that aren't much, but can mean everything at the same time.
It's no different to me than posts about puppies with their tongues out. Dogs also bite people, lick their balls with those tongues, and eventually grow old and die. That doesn't make the puppy less worthwhile.
Obviously bad things happen, and I'm far from an optimist. But if you don't take a break from thinking about them once in awhile, you're going to spend every day miserable and jaded, caught in a vicious cycle of negativity that quickly becomes depression.
If that's how some people want to live, there's little to be done about that. But for everyone else maybe a little too caught up in their own thoughts, there's a chance one of the things in this post might give them the lift they needed to get through whatever is happening in their day. That's enough to make it worthwhile for me. :)

Tbh I tried avocado toast and didn't find it tasted good. Or really had taste at all. It was just kind of a weird, wet texture, that I don't think goes particularly well with toast
