I always start down one path and if it seems to be going on for too long I turn around and take the other path and hope it has the dead end and whatever random item I'll never use at the end of it

I'm assuming the images they were supposed to be projecting were related to the presentation and probably relevant to what was being said, so I imagine continuing WHILE they were projected would not only not make sense in the scheme of the presentation, it would likely cause the teacher to call a Halt to the entire thing

They won't be little kids anymore, then, though. So them commuting isn't as big a deal.
A lot of schools for younger kids have multiple grades, meaning you're usually there at least several years with your kid going to that school, at which point the family may have another kid, or may be ready to move sometime in the future anyway. Either way, they had a better reason to be there afterwards rather than just displacing those families because you want faster snow removal

I didn't actually find the post particularly funny when I originally saw it so I never saved it, and given how people title the posts with nothing that remotely indicates what they're about, search function is somewhat useless. -shrug-
It's not like reposts are uncommon. it was in the last 2 months iirc.

Or you could let parents buy houses close to schools so the kids don't have hellishly long commutes on dangerous roads? That used to be a thing.

I'm assuming the first bit of advice is for a girl you've been dating awhile or your confident will be interested in sleeping with you on the first date? Can honestly say I've never given that any kind of thought- I'd pick the day that's less likely to interfere with all the other stuff going on in my life.

Changing the font on the commas/periods would make your paper BIGGER, not longer. So if you're after word count, not sure I see this working.

Getting the haircut the day before your driver's licence is putting a lot of faith on the idea you're going to be very happy with the haircut you got.

Reading Cosmo for sex tips is like reading playboy for the biographies.

The movie/dinner thing implies you're not the kind of person to snack at a movie. If you are, you may have just ruined your dinner. But at least you'll have something to talk about.

Your dog now bears an uncomfortable resemblance to a mouldy grape that has grown legs and achieved sentience. Which is arguably the worst kind of mouldy grape around

"Because I could not stop for Death –
He kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
And Immortality.
'
We slowly drove – He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility –
'
We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess – in the Ring –
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –
We passed the Setting Sun –
'
Or rather – He passed us –
The Dews drew quivering and chill –
For only Gossamer, my Gown –
My Tippet – only Tulle –
'
We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground –
The Roof was scarcely visible –
The Cornice – in the Ground –
'
Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity."

Well, that with the cube line is from the P0rtal games (it's written in graffiti on one of the walls). The original verse is a poem by Emily Dickinson: "Because I could not stop for death"

Sooooo someone gets lost on Friday night, they're stuck there roughly 5 days? Or, best case scenario, someone gets lost on Sunday, they're stuck 3 days?

You could say she ruled the roost, then, haha. Oddly it usually seems the female animals end up being more dominant (at least that I've owned)

I was half expecting the loin king to come up as a porn, but instead it's a song, a book, and a t-shirt about how to carve up Simba for meat

Ofc, I wasn't trying to say they make bad pets at all, or that they're not affectionate. They're actually the opposite-- they're super social and loving and needy, but a lot of people don't fully comprehend how they interact or what they need which can cause issues.
