Kyle did nothing to them beyond disagree, and yet because he had a gun you say escalation was inevitable. The guys that attacked him had a gun. They fired it, too. One of them had a chain he had been thrashing around. There was also the skateboard that was used as a weapon with intended deadly force.

But Kyle's gun was bigger, Kyle used it more effectively and only in self-defence. It was not illegal for him to have the weapon. He had as much right as anyone to be there. He didn't start shit. Only finished it.

You seem to have misunderstood something to a large degree. The point of mentioning the attempted murders, rapes, kidnapping etc wasn't to say that was definitely happening that night. But it HAD happened on multiple occasions in other American cities under the same pretense. Because attempted murder is acceptable if you do it in the name of Black people for some reason.

For this case in particular multiple people even on this website have tried to claim that:
-because the riots supposedly started to defend black lives, any sort of opposition to those riots means you must be a white supremacist
-having white skin is the reason Kyle had a gun, a reason he is more prone to kill people, a reason he has gotten away with everything so far (what?), and a reason he should be convicted

The media have been foaming at the mouth to increase the racial division already going on and don't even care about the facts anymore these days

I would honestly suggest looking at the videos from that night if you feel inclined. Ignore any commentary from either side as much as possible if you feel that will help.

However things to note:
-most of these lawyers have come to the conclusion that Kyle was acting in self-defence. They do still say when they think are good/poor arguements on both side, what they think jury perception is, etc
-it's not a sterile environment, they're bantering a lot etc, so if you're looking for a clinical assessment, it's not exactly that
-the trial videos are long. 7 - 8 hours sometimes.
