Umm iirc I am now kind of a friendly pirate that collects flowers and never speaks. I spend most of my time with ghost furries that demand I feed them, build them houses, and who always complain about the rain, but occasionally give me stuff if I make them happy

I am gonna say whatever you think of Kyle - famous is right.
.
The MSmedia are NOT covering the case. They're pushing narratives. You can't trust them with this case remotely.
.
If you truly have an opinion, go research what happened. Watch the footage. Watch what parts of the trial you can. Go to multiple sources. Maybe none of what you think will change and that's what it is
.
Come to your own conclusion, but make sure it is YOURS. Don't let them come to it for you.

And you know what? I had an aunt and uncle that ran a shop in America before. If they had asked me to come and try and keep an eye on it so a bunch of psychos didn't turn it into another statistic in a newspaper, not sure I'd say no.
.
And I'd definitely not be going there unarmed.
.
Because when terrorists are attacking the logical answer is not to surrender your rights to their insanity and bend over. You're not actually obligated to protect them from the consequences of being terrible people especially if it means you die in the process.
.
An area where people are swinging chains, and blockading police, and carrying guns, and burning things down.
.
This isn't hacksaw ridge. You don't go into an active warzone without the means to defend yourself.
.
Kyle waved the flag of truce repeatedly. They're the ones who soaked it in blood.

Iirc Kyle went there with a group that had been asked to guard a car lot (the owners denied this on the stand, but they were also liable. Literally everyone else claimed they hard requested this, and iirc there was a promise of money being given to an individual who was NOT Kyle).
.
At some point prior to this Kyle was cleaning up graffiti.
.
According to testimony, the owners later told the group that the people they had asked to guard a different lot had abandoned it. Kyle and iirc at least one other person headed there to try and look after it.
.
In the interim Kyle put out a fire using a fire extinguisher and also offered medic aid to people. Someone from Kyle's group actually offered medical assistance to one of the assailants iirc, but don't quote me on that one without researching it.
.
At some point he was separated and attacked.

Oh - and one final note: some people watching the livestream went back and reviewed footage and noticed that on the prosecution's laptop is an app specifically for transcoding media and video compression.

Is this the same footage that the prosecution had to spend 20 hours (and potentially 3 additional days) "enhancing" and still couldn't get it to show what they claimed? Or is that another video?
.
The one they threw a fit over when they weren't allowed to use a third party computer algorithm to zoom and "enhance"?
.
Is this the very blurry evidence they showed where they claim Kyle suddenly became a lefty randomly during the night just to point his gun for half a second, despite the fact that he is not left handed, did not have the gun strapped on that way, and there were no burns on his face from the bullets discharging directly into his nostrils?
.
The one the prosecution had to spend about 20 minutes playing over and over and pointing at repeatedly trying to convince anyone watching not to believe what they're seeing, but only what the prosecution is telling them?
.
I've lost track

Today was not that day, apparently.
.
And before you get going - the video does not show what the prosecution claims it does. But even if it DID, that wouldn't be the issue as I understand it (again - correct me if I am wrong).
.
The issue is they withheld evidence from a defendant deliberately and lied about it repeatedly in a court of law.
.
Let's say Kyle is entirely innocent.
.
The prosecution took away his access to the absolute fair & thorough defense he is entitled to. Such an act in a case like this could cost a person their LIFE.
.
Lets say Kyle was a serial killer entirely at fault.
.
The prosecution opened the door for appeal after appeal, mistrial with prejudice, and potential lawsuits against the state.
.
Because of their fuckery an innocent man could be condemned or a deranged killer could go free and PROFIT off what they did.
.
It's immoral, it's illegal, and it is above all fucking disgusting. The kind of deplorable detritus a maggot wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

And (feel free to correct me if I understood this part incorrectly) the compressed file that was sent had an entirely different name from the uncompressed version on the prosecution's computer. Meaning whoever compressed the file RENAMED and separately saved the file.
.
The next thing they said was to blame it on a GLITCH. They also blamed the defense for not obtaining the footage from Fox itself despite it being literally the job of the prosecution to provide any evidence they wish to use to make their case. THE REASON BEING so defendants have access to FAIR trials.
.
The judge than said he had already warned the prosecution repeatedly of their conduct throughout the trial and that there will be a day of reckoning.

Yeah, the prosecution introduced the footage extremely late into the trial iirc, with a questionable chain of custody
.
They sent the defence an extremely compressed version (3mb down from 11mb) and then said nothing about it. They showed the uncompressed footage during trial (which did not show Kyle pointing the rifle no matter how hard they tried to zoom lol) and then, if I understood today's session correctly, had every intention of providing this footage for the jury to look over in private on a laptop without ever giving the defense access to it.
.
When the defense called them out on it they first lied and said the email must have compressed the footage. When that was proven impossible, iirc (and I could be remembering this part wrong) they then tried to claim the defense must have compressed the footage. The defense showed that it was the exact same file that had been sent to them by the prosecution.
