You're in charge of a ship that goes between different islands and find spirits to help them move on to whatever comes after. The spirits that join you all take on an animal-esque form when they go on your boat, and you have to build each of them houses and cook food, learn their backstories, and complete ther questline

I think one of the worst was a male cat we had. He just suddenly stopped eating for a few days so we took him to the vet and the vet told us that he had stomach cancer way past the point of being operable and that his muscles were completely shredded as well to the point she had no idea how he was walking. And we had no idea because he was literally jumping fences etc right up until then, apparently through sheer force of will

It hits hard. All you can do is remind yourself that when you signed on to look after them you signed on to make sure they were safe and happy and had the best life you could provide. And that includes making the call when their quality of life is no longer possible

You were there with her and that is so critical, as hard as it was. You took care of her, and she knows. That's the best we can ever do, and what we have to keep in mind to get through it

I didn't until I went to America and suddenly they were everywhere. Can't count how many hotels had the buggers trapped in the bathroom ceiling lights

@famousone they do, but they're usually not particularly flattering. At least not on me. And they also tend to be fairly shallow

Combine that with the broad shoulders and no waist/hips and they tend to be a disaster on me lol

Yeah pets don't really understand this stuff. When we had to put my dog down, my cat (who was obsessed wth him), looked everywhere for him. She even mistook some trashbags for him a few weeks later and got really depressed when she realized it wasn't him

It's really difficult losing pets like this, especially when it sounds like you were really close with her
