Well, you can, but it's really quiet and sounds hilarious.

It *really* sucks cause unless they're bad enough to need surgical removal, all the hospital can really do is monitor and give palliative care (i.e. painkillers).

Please, say "fat" rather than any of the condescending euphemisms. And yes, there are fat people speaking out about the exxaggeration of the negative health consequences of obesity - for instance, the part that the "healthy" band, in terms of pre-geriatric mortality rates, is the one we've always called the "overweight" range, and the part where in many of the defining studies of the era in which we started studying the effects of obesity, dying from anything, for instance, a vehicular impact, while obese was often recorded as death *due to* obesity. But trust me, pretty much none of them are unaware of the main body of research on the fact - doubly so since if they actually want to make an argument, they had to do the research.

Raise awareness of what? That being fat correlates with health problems? Trust me. No awareness needs to be raised.

... The dramatic irony of which is, of course, that the person from whom I take two of those examples... was morbidly obese because she had had cancer.

I assure you, no fat person over the age of eight needs to be told about the negative health effects of obesity. Our parents have told us. Our doctors have told us. Random strangers have told us. Random strangers have lectured our parents in front of us. Our teachers have surreptitiously handed us printoffs. Our teachers have NON-surreptitiously handed us printoffs. Our schools have assigned us special classes. If you work retail, children occasionally come up to you and concernedly lecture you on the subject. Gas station cashiers occasionally refuse to sell you food "out of concern for your health." Consider the subject covered.

Egh. Ruins the joke if you have to stretch the usage that much.

Do people actually say "with a good taste" when they mean "with good taste" or "with a good sense of style"?

Well, there was that thing in the eighties where everyone temporarily voted for a bunch of people to remove the economic regulations put in place to keep the oligarchs and speculators from doing specifically that, based on the promises of increased personal wealth and tax breaks.

Okay, what the ass, New York. That's not how you fix bullshit, that's how you create cultural divides and start wars. - like, the state, not you.

And to be fair, they DID just march into land they hadn't occupied in over a millennium and announce that only *they* had full legal rights to live there now, backed by a small but powerful set of nations a few thousand miles away, and they claim to be a democracy while slowly forcing members of any but the majority few cultures into underpoliced, overisolated ghetto-like spaces, so they're like mini-America!

.... Okay, so I'm probably still gonna get some funny looks because I *am* fat, but A) when I went to Germany for a month I lost 30 pounds because it's actually possible to walk places there, and B) I wanna live somewhere that comprehends my attitude towards food, so... how many years should I study french before attempting to move?

It has a lot to do with the economic and environmental futures younger generations see for themselves. I'm having trouble justifying having a kid at my age when I still resent my parents for having me.

American sex ed. Does not, in like 90% of the country, explain anything about homosexuality, except mentioning maybe once that people who like partners of the same sex are called homosexual. Just straight-up assumes no one has that preference or needs that info.

Rhinoceros keep the deer species in check in their local habitats, due to their territorial nature. They protect short ground cover (i.e., grass and other low plants which the deer eat), which is necessary to maintain an arable non-desert climate in most regions. If there is not another animal in the biome which can expand to occupy the niche (or if the population growth of that animal would cause another undesirable side effect), then the removal of the rhino from that system could cause a short-term major upset in the local biome, or worse, a long-term major upset, which would probably affect the local climate and the climate of neighboring biomes.
.... And the neighboring biomes/climate regions are in part where the world's already-dwindling supply of chocolate is grown, threatened by our current level of climate change. Did you wonder why Hershey's is trying to advertise those all-peanut bars? They're prepping.

You meander through ten adult friendships that involve you doing all the emotional labor to help a grown-ass man figure out how to articulate "that makes me feel insecure" cause neither parent apparently bothered to teach him and see how much time you have left for tact.

Also the fact that we need like half of those to live. A diverse biome is pretty much required for complicated survival tactics (like social behavior) to thrive.

Bleh. If we just taught men to deal with their emotions, they could go into relationships as whole human beings. I ain't your mother, I ain't here to deal with your "I can't express myself" BS.

Exactly. They turned on the app to get *laid,* not to send nudes to some random guy so he can jack off, give them nothing in return, probably call them a slut, and possibly share the pics with god knows who.
