I'm a boomer. Am I a minority now? As a white middle class female, I've always wanted to be a minority, yay!!

Yeah, I noticed that. I'll be generous and assume it started in Arizona and spread to Australia.

The turtle is unfortunately dead... But what a way to go! 4 comments

The turtle was probably dropped from a goodly height by an eagle. They use the technique to crack open the shell to eat the turtle. Obviously not a good choice of drop location for the eagle in this instance.

I just put a bedside table with drawers together for my daughter. This would have been incredibly useful.

Before rainbows were the symbol of Pride, they were used in other artwork, such as the album cover of Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon in 1973.

I lived in a non-English speaking country and at the end of 3 years I could count to 10, ask "How much is that" but not necessarily understand the answer, and say "Excuse me". I have nothing but total admiration for anyone who come from another language and can hold a conversation in English, even if it's a bit rough.

Pretty much every school - private and public - in Australia has this system for sporting competition. I was in a school house when I was at at public school in the 1970s, my daughter is in a house at the moment.

Cerberus is a corruption of Kerberos which means "Spotted". Hades, Lord of the Dead, named his pet dog Spot.

Depends on how much the job was worth for you and the likelihood of you being able to do it for yourself. Change a light bulb? No, not worth it. Find and fix an electrical fault that could have burned your house down? Yes, definitely worth it.
