The Russian dad is indeed a big guy and he definitely looks like he wouldn't need a bat to destroy the scumbag predator. The point you're missing is that if he just wants to put the fear of God into Romeo, if he wants to dissuade the POS from EVER daring to contact his daughter again, rather than actually assaulting him, then the bat is an intimidation multiplier. It's one thing to imagine what a big angry dad would do to you with his fists alone, quite another to imagine him wielding that bat and selectively breaking multiple bones at will.
Edit: search YT for Eric Kanevsky. He has a channel where he lures predators to scare the living shit out of them. The last featured him, and his two equally intimidating brothers, armed with a baseball bat, an axe, a plugged in iron AND bolt cutters!!!, confronting a 21 year old who came to prey on a 14 year old boy. It's all intimidation and implied violence, so the props are an essential factor.

Unfortunately, the Futurama Wiki at The Infosphere, which has every subtitle listed, doesn't seem to include this one. I suspect the heavy hand of the Bureau of Time Travel Disinformation is yet again at play.

Just want to note that this armour is an early example of a composite material. A composite material is a material made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties that, when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components. So woven flaxseed fibers bonded with rabbit glue to form a tough laminate. Pretty cool.

Animal glue is made from collagen, which is found in the hooves of pigs, horses and cattle, as well as in the skin, bones and ligaments. They probably got these from a local butcher. The rabbits that supplied them have not been reached for comment.

So, initially it's way too big a job to get a ladder and some ribbon to allow his son to continue playing with that balloon he loves, but then a ladder, glue, tape, nails? are no problem just to prank the kid? Father is an abusive dick.

I'm surprised at the kid's lack of resistance. Most would revolt at such a lightning quick show of power.

Take heart. If they arrest and convict you, you can always try to have the decision overturned at the Court of Applepeels.

At first glance, I honestly thought it was a woman in body makeup, taking advantage of a dramatic setting for an artsy photo.

I love the results of a Corgi-xxxxx mix. Every result is the xxxxx contributer shoehorned into a Corgi shaped frame. Sometimes comical, always cute.

EDM, Electric Discharge Machining removes material using basically sparks, and as you see, is so accurate(40 millionths of an inch all the way down to 10 millionths of an inch) that the manufactured hole and plug mate absolutely perfectly. The machine shop guys at my company earned their keep by "burning" out the very occasional jammed drill bits or totally seized fasteners in thick, critical aircraft structure without actually touching the sides of the existing hole. F'ing magic!

That's scary, but forewarned is forearmed. I guess the bright side is that that mushrooms aren't quite as ubiquitous as something like peanuts.
