Look, last night I ate back-to-back-to-back carrots aged in pepper sauces (Ghost, Scorpion, and Reaper). I also eat hot sauce on the reg, along with fried peppers. It’s nothing to me. But the thing I remember? Not everyone can handle spice, and that’s ok. Don’t call yourself weak, it’s just not your pallette. As far as your last sentence, I myself do not care for bdsm whatsoever, so I cannot have an opinion comparing the two.

I eat chicken that made my mother go into a coughing fit at one bite. It's right on my limit of how spicy I can go.
Also I'm pretty sure someone into bdsm would enjoy the after-pains.

"Is this what BDSM is like??"-- asks Captain Jack Harkness. Shame, shame, captain. Shouldn't you already know? :P
.
Don't beat yourself up about the kettle chip thing, though. I have a friend who thinks pepperoni is too spicy. Everybody's got different tastes, so embrace yours and figure out what you /do/ like!

savage_demmigod · 5 years ago
Oof
That's a tough question and if I had the answer I would let you know but I do know that you've definitely made an impact on a random stranger who now knows that you're addicted to not-so-spicey-but-apparently-very-spicey chips
So you've got that going for you

Sleep is marvelous
I should probably do so myself. Mhmm
Goodnight! (or good morning good day[I don't really know where you are in the world!])
I hope things start looking better for you because you deserve it, you epic human bean!

You get used to spicy foods if you eat them enough. You'll probably also learn to like them more.

Dude don't stress, I'm what you call "the whitest white" when it comes to my spice tolerance. I once started crying when I put one of those mint strips in my mouth and my friends couldn't stop laughing, sad times. I like spice but I hate when thats' the only thing I can taste and it starts to numb my tongue. If you like them keep eating them, just drink some milk or eat bread along side it, whatever makes you happy. With the BDSM I can say a little bit of pain brings a little bit of pleasure but I don't think that eating spicy chips completely correlates with BDSM haha
@chocolatefeces is right though, you can built up your tolerance but remember to start off small

So, I'm sure this varies from person to person, but I personally enjoy spice in a way that is very similar to how I enjoy the pain aspect of BDSM.
It hurts but it's a good hurt. It's very possible for something I think is no big deal to be a very big deal to someone else, and vice versa. It's very possible for it to hurt to much. Or even just in a bad way. Like, I can't do the spice chipotle. I dont like the way it burns. Sometimes BDSM be like that too.
Also: it's important to note that pain is only part of BDSM. There is a control/submission aspect which is not at all like spicy food. I don't know if I can explain that it any way that is helpful.
Also also: You aren't weak, you just have a low spice tolerance. I know others have already said this, but I wanted to reiterate: Your tolerance for spicy food does not make you weak, nor does it make you strong; it simply dictates your dietary choices.
LASTLY: building up your tolerance will take time, but it doable.

The mouth BSDM thing was a sorta joke, not a literal correlation between liking the slight burning sensation, and liking being tied up/choked/etc...
