Another music thread, mostly directed at Funsubstance's non-native speakers (ofc if you're a native speaker, you're still allowed to contribute), question in the comments.

Tell me your 5 favourite songs (melody wise, cause I obviously won't be able to understand the lyrics) in your mother tongue

Interesting question! I don't listen to a lot of music in my own language, and when I do it's mostly for the lyrics... Melody wise, here's what comes to mind : Pitt'Ocha Ma voiture fait de la musique ; Oldelaf Le Café ; Le Laridé du Poulet ; [warning, dirty song : J'ai la quéquette qui colle] and not in my mother tongue Purgatory and the Canary Girl (Japanese) & Daughter of Evil (also Japanese, although there is a wonderful English cover on youtube)

Croat here! It's a weird mix, but these are the ones I thought of first:
Vice Vukov- pismo ćali, Atomsko Sklonište- treba imat dušu, Daleka obala- ruzinavi brod, Azra- a šta da radim, Ivo Robić- samo jednom se ljubi

I don't listen to any songs in my mother tongue, so here are my top 5 non-English songs (not in any particular order):
1- Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata (Maori)
2- Eisbrecher - Krieger (German)
3- The Hu - Yuve Yuve Yu (Mongolian)
4- Unzucht - Nela (German, again)
5- Skyrim - The Song of The Dragonborn (Dovahzul or "Dragon-Voice" [does it count of if it's not a "real" language?])

@purplepumpkin le Café reminds me of a German equivalent, Kaffee by Ohrbooten. It's not as aggressive but also gets faster which each cup of coffee he drinks :D

@mialinay José José it's pretty old though, still loves his songs, Juan Gabriel (May he rest in piece) it's not that old but still his songs are classics
