Yeah thinking about past friends on here and how they suddenly disappeared is sad, but at least their memory remains

I do that too and sometimes it feels like visiting a ghost town.

It is kind of sad - especially when I've repeatedly seen people treat other users like scum and/or try to make the website as inhospitable as possible as early as last week.
.
But I also remember that something like a year or two ago people wee committed to the idea that it wouldn't last another few months.
.
It's definitely smaller now, but we still have a pulse going here

I've been around long enough to see that there's an ebb and a flow to this site and I think the tide's out right now. In a few months, I think it will flip. New users that stick around and a veteran or two may return. I've seen it before, it will happen again.

I just hope that those who left us are doing just fine, as fine as 2020 allows.

May the prophecy be fulfilled.

Anyone else remember when we could get thousands of likes on a post? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
xvarnah · 3 years ago
Well if SOME OF US would pick up the slack and make at least a dozen more alt accounts we could be there in a heartbeat
that_creepy_guy · 3 years ago
Thousands of likes wasn't even that long ago, that was only 1/2 years now (which is still crazy). I think we'll get back there in another year or 2
