...um it sounds like the girl who posted this is a bully. 1 like = 1 punch? If you are trying to "be a good influence", it mean you are engaging with her when you should be studying.
Obese kids should be illegal 43 comments

Parent's can (and should) have a big influence, but...
How about fixing the legally mandated education that makes them sit inside all day with exercise scheduled for 30 minutes every other day?
How about fixing the economy where parent where parents (with a college education) have to work two job, so they don't see their kids, never mind have time to worry that they are eating McDonald.
What about fixing the media which allows children's television to have ads that are 75-90% about junk food.
This is a cultural problem, not a handful of neglectful parents.

What the hell is that? Most American female athletes are bad ass and most uniforms are appropriate to facilitate playing the sport. I don't know what that is, but it does not represent the American Female athlete.

Trump suggested Muslims register in a database and add surveillance to mosques and special IDs. Trump cited the Japanese internment camps as a precedent, which is a pretty shady thing to do. So shady he later denied saying it.

You all benefit from the uber wealthy paying a high tax. When they pay more, you pay less and get better services. The problem is, you have this idea in your head that you will be a one percenter, but most of you will make less than $50,000 ...yet you are so busy defending those who are running your country, polluting the land and making more than $500,000 a year.

I support a woman's right to choose, but at the same time, it is a legitimate moral question. Is it your right to have an abortion? Yes, but that doesn't make it right. Every woman has to make that decision for herself. It is a hard decision.

Just because you were safe as an 18 year old doesn't mean everyone is. May 18 year olds face extreme poverty and physical violence. Many of our young people are serving in the military putting their lives at risk.
On top of that, this is an incredibly unstable time for youth. In 1944, most teens were not worried about their parents divorcing, they lived in neighborhoods and had their church community. Studies show, suicide rates are much high amount those without community.

Dress codes are too strict. Don't dress like a sl*t and you'll be fine. 43 comments
guest · 9 years ago
Here's the thing. If there is a dress code follow the dress code. No being able to show your shoulders at school when you are 12 is not a civil liberties atrocity. At 12 - 17 if you have the luxury of bare shoulders being your biggest issue then you are lucky.

The CEO of yahoo was publicly judged for taking a short maternity leave. Jennifer Lawrence had nude pictures of her spread all over the internet. Even powerful, wealthy women face discrimination.
First, I love wearing, bras, make up and shaving my legs, but not doing these things can also be a sign of taking ownership of your body. We still have to fight for both legal and emotional ownership of our own bodies. So don't tell me it's nothing!

1. Gun control does NOT mean taking everyone's guns. - but really, you have to register your car and get licensed to drive it, why not a gun?
2. We aren't talking about letting EVERYONE into the country - but terrorists are not slipping in with refugees. They are coming in on planes with fake passports, or even real passports.

Actually there is a link through out history between climate change and major wars and social change. I'm not saying that Global Warming equals terrorism...but it might be related. There is plenty of evidence to back it up too.
Let me get you started with some actual facts.

I dislike posts like this. Rather than presenting an argument it, it shuts down all intelligent discourse, but saying something both harsh and that they know to be untrue.
It's called a logical fallacy and it is one of politicians favorite ways to derail an actual discussion.

Well said rebeccawoldweb! Just because we don't understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm not a deeply religious person, but I think it is ignorant to say with confidence, "there is no God". The belief in God is based on faith not fact. If Atheist say they refuse to buy into the idea of faith, then really they need some facts to back it up their claim.
