I dunno why but I've always seen New Zealand as Australia's Canada. The more liberal, less offensive and more affiable relation. More countries love Canada than the US and more countries love NZ than Aus. And yes, I am Aussie.

@diyrogue is right. Plus Denmark and its northern Eurpoean neighbours have extremely high tax rates to support all this Government spending. This moves these countries closer and closer to Socialism - which metritocractic nations, like the US and Singapore strongly oppose.

Anne Hathaway was raised and was a devout Catholic and only walked away from the church when her brother came out as gay. She stated that she couldn't support a religion that didn't support her brother and then got on her soapbox. One wonders if she would have been this "decent" if her brother wasn't gay.
