With European-style door you don't even have to lock it to ensure nobody gets in. Idk why aren't these a thing all over the world.

(Different guest here) @guest At age 2, 3 or even 4, yeah throwing a fit is kinda normal. At age 8, however, it indicates either bad parenting (which is probably this case) or mental underdevelopment of the child's brain (which might also be the case here along with bad parenting but we might never know).
As far as personal stories are concerned, my parents always say I was a very calm and nice kid, and I still try to keep my cool in stressful situation and it never happened that I'd snap. So take your lecture elsewhere, I know where I stand.
Although I have to admit that this guy's "revenge" was probably worse for the cashier than the bratty kid and its dumbass mom.

I bet you're one of these people who get mad when everyone doesn't automatically speak English in a foreign country, aren'tcha?

Funny, I suggested this exact same thing a while back on this very website and got called a "fascist pig" for "wanting to take away people's right to vote".
Anyway yes, I agree, but here I suggested a medical test because
a) the chance it will be rigged/biased is smaller because it's just about biological facts and brain activity,
b) people who are totally clueless about politics but desperately want to vote because they're so sure their opinion is right even though they know nothing sbout the topic (aka about a half of the population or more) would protest a knowledge test, not so much a medical test.

The point is you can trust an 80 year old's judgment about as much as one of a 16 year old, because the human brain slows down and gets stuff mixed up when you get old, even if that person doesn't have dementia. The fact that this happens completely annuls the experience factor, which is why we should be careful with letting old people vote. Maybe only if they pass a medical examination that would test their ability to think clearly and decisionmaking?

So, ever since I saw the photo I was always wondering, is the white curly party dog really like that? Because it really looks like they photoshopped human eyes onto it, you usually can't see the white of dogs' eyes.

I think the point in many sci-fi pieces is that aliens have achieved such a high level of technological and sociological/political advancement that they are united, unlike humans.

Never give up on your dog 9 comments

That's awesome. I always thought animals have a more auditive memory/response to commands. But I guess it makes sense that they watch gestures, after all we often open our hand when say "paw" and do a downwards motion for "sit" or "lie down" command without realizing it. I even taught my grandma's dog to put her paws up at a gun-like gesture and I don't even have to say "hands up" anymore. Then again the dog only does it when she knows there's food to be given, that little clever bastard.

University of Georgia parking officials gone savage 6 comments
guest · 7 years ago
Well that's just rude. Like okay some people are always late but most people just sometimes encounter unexpected shit that makes them late, and of course Murphy's law dictates that it will happen on test day. As someone who's super punctual I get extremely freaked out when something happens that makes me late, like public transport problems. Parking ticket dude had to do his job and ticket the student but the comment on it was just a dick move.

My English teacher got mad at me for reading a book in English because I was done with an assignment before everyone else. The same happened to a classmate, and he asked her "What are we supposed to do, stare at the wall?" to which she replied "Yes!"
Sad thing is I went to a selective high school, and I thought learning ahead would be encouraged, not repressed.

Oh yeah, and even though cakes in general aren't the best thing for your health, a good homemade cake is a million times healthier than one made from a cake mix. Plus, you can put in anything you want, you're not limited to a few flavours. Homemade stuff is the best!

The real problem with education 2 comments
guest · 7 years ago
Agreed. In the version that used to be aired in my country they even asked questions from the German language, while only about 25% of people actually learn it. The rest just learn English, French, Spanish, Italian... so it's very biased against people who don't speak German and just generally biased against every grownup who doesn't have the time to learn useless trivia.

I read that you start hearing voices after being in that super quiet room for 45 minutes. So you would definitely go insane after a few days or even hours if you had any psychological problems to begin with.

"Nice guys" – people who expect you to fuck them because they opened a door for you that one time.
Actual nice people – people who don't expect anything for their kindness, especially not your body!
The problem with these "nice guys" is that they act like they are superior for basic human politeness, but by doing so they are extremely impolite and creepy.

Also the fact that people went on a downvote spree kinda proves my point. I never said all right wingers, just this specific one who made the post.
