McDonald's change their sign to turquoise to better fit in with the aesthetics of the town 7 comments

This opened in the early '90's. They initially called them teal green arches, though. It's in Sedona, Arizona. The city has absurd restrictions on sign size, color, height, lighting, and building colors. The signs are so low, small, and dark, you'll end up driving by smaller shops if don't already know were they're at. Everything just blends together.

I hope this is a genuine urge to help and not one of his publicity stunts. I've seen a few sites that are usually hard core Elon Musk cheerleaders feeling a little uneasy about the way he's talking about his involvement with this.

This is made from knives confiscated or surrendered, not knives used in a crime. They're all sterilized dulled before being used in the statue.

It's illegal. People have been sued and served jail time for things like this.

Anatomy. Despite what someone's preference is, they're stuck with the equipment they're born with and have to make do.

Inoculations against smallpox were already in use at the time. Jenner discovered women that became infected with cowpox while milking cows not only developed milder symptoms than smallpox, they also became immune to smallpox just as people who survived smallpox. People weren't stupid. They were scared. How do you convince people that don't want to get a disease that you can protect them by giving them a disease?

She released documents that showed Russia targeted voting software companies and election officials with spear phishing emails. There's no evidence anything was actually compromised. Releasing classified government documents is illegal - even if you feel you have a good reason.

You shouldn't judge a person or situation unless you're absolutely positive you know everything. I've seen genuinely good people do stupid things because they're under more stress and pressure than I could handle. I've know people for years before finding out they're a lying, manipulative, low-life. Going by some check list to determine who's a good person and who's a bad person isn't going to tell you much. The fact is you never really know people.

You're taking a bit of a risk with that stuff. Supplements are unregulated (in the U.S., at least.) There was one company putting some type of synthetic meth in its protein, energy powder. There's really no telling what's in the stuff or what it's going to do to you.

Groups that are enslaved are usually dehumanized and, or marginalized. It's not entirely the fact that blacks were slaves, it's the way they were looked at and treated while slaves, and those same views and feelings lingering after their slavery ended.

What energy? The piece of shit you're driving just crumpled like a piece of aluminum foil. I'll be home buffing out the scuff marks while they're still sweeping what's left of your "car" off the road and you're in the hospital getting you face stitched up and nose straightened from the air bag.

Freedom of speech 22 comments

Actually, freedom of speech does mean freedom from repercussions. What's the point of freedom of speech if you can be fined, thrown in jail, or executed for expressing your opinions? Repressing or censoring speech and an employer terminating an employee for being rude to customers are two entirely different issues.
