you americans just keep forgetting that not everyone lives in the states and that plenty of people from this site live in europe (or australia, or asia, or every other country you want to chose) and they dont have to get rid of those things you mentioned so dont call them dumbasses for nothing
but beyond that i generally think you are right. you just have to get your shit together and you will be able to do whatever you please
