It's amazing what that man has done, and no one can or will take away what he's done, but I also found myself asking, why does 3 Million fucking dollars, only get 33 students into college?!

Pretty sure this has been covered before, but eh. We know why smoking is kill, and everyone is aware of the health risks.
The vape however, a relatively new thing, unstudied and tested killed 30 or however many people within days of each other, and only recently just figured out the cause is a weakened immune response in the lungs due to fatty white blood cells which can't function. So yeah, they have a decent reason to ban it while the figure out how to stop the short term dying.

I mean, you say that, but the original trilogy (IV-VI) was more about what the movie did for the film industry and it's advancements in VFX.
I don't recall the series existing much before the release of ep.IV. During 1977 (IV release date) the licensing rights for toys was given to 'Kerner', which produced toys based on the movies, and because no one anticipated the reception of the movies, or it's demand for toys, no where near enough was created.
If you mean more literally yes, Star Wars was created to sell more Star Wars, but then again, what isn't?
I think it's unfair to brand the first trilogy, or at least the first movie, as nothing more than 'a kids movie to sell toys'.
However what Lucasfilm turned the series into (EP I - III), and then Disney further capitalised on, I completely agree, it did turn into nothing more than a profit driven venture.

How do you know it was her father's money and connections?
If she was scouted at a young age, she would have no problems getting a grants and bursaries from Universities and probably NASA themselves. But from what I can find, there's no mention of how any of this was funded, so I'm gonna assume you're doing nothing more than jumping to spiteful conclusions.

I'm sorry to hear that, I really am. But for you to diminish someone else's achievements by claiming privilege, is really kind of sad. At the end of the day, she's proven that she's capable, she graduated from various different space related courses at the age of 7, and she's genuinely driven to achieve a goal, whether or not her parents may be wealthy (there's no info about them online). Reducing those achievements 'privilege', is nothing short of spiteful

Plenty of Astronauts come from the air force / have a military background. It can be done, just gotta play with the hand they've been dealt.
Motorsport is a pretty money driven and finically taxing sport, yet there are cases where people make it by showing their skill rather than money.

What's the plan here? You're then expecting Disney to buy Hong Kong and the CCP, so they can keep selling movies and keep the park? Or you trying to deprive the Chinese people of Disney and Disney of the revenue? (Which they will make back anyway by making shitty movie deals with their partners (say goodbye to Spiderman again))
