It's posts like these that make me want to punch this kind of people, who'd rather make up shitty excuses instead of learning new things that could enrich their lives a thousand times, in the face. Want to stay stupid and achieve nothing in life? Fine by me, it's your decision, although I don't much like the idea of your dumb ass living off my tax money. But don't try to impose this view on others by making people who actually do something with their lives seem like idiots just because "hurr durr we live on a flying rock hurr durr." Seriously. This is such a blood boiling approach.

A perfect example are bus rides. It's usually old people who sit next to the aisle and put their bags on the other seat, even when the bus is crowded as hell. The only time I've seen young people do that was when the bus was so empty that they could afford to do it, and even then they always put their bag on their lap and sat next to the window when they saw people getting on the bus. But yeah, we are so disrespectful. We're so disrespectful that I even let old people go before me on the bus, even when I was there first, let doors open for other people etcetera etcetera. But sure, our generation is horrible.

I don't think the problem isn't sexualization itself. I think the problem is, when have you last seen a female protagonist with an average face? Male characters are usually created as strong guys with a badass personality, which makes them attractive to female gamers and role models to male gamers. The strenght and muscularity makes sense since we're talking mostly about fighting games. How handsome their faces are isn't very important, because all the hotness is in their badass behaviour. But so far every female vidya protagonist I've seen (except in games where the player decides the character's look) has a gorgeous face. I understand why it bothers some people, because it kind of seems like they're telling us that in order to be a heroine, you have to do all a hero does, plus be pretty.
