On another post I got downvoted for saying I have no problem with religious people unless they are trying to justify bad behaviour with their religion. I got downvoted into oblivion and some fucknut even called me butthurt. Perfect example of how some people here have the mental age of 12.

I agree with envius. It wasn't the government who shut it down, it was the people, therefore it isn't as much violation of free speech as just telling someone to shut the fuck up. If what you said is true (and I honestly don't have time to look it up at the moment), then the protesters were indeed acting like assholes, however it is as envius said their own way of exercising their free speech, more specifically their disagreement with Trump.

If I understood his comment correctly, Galrog said that there is no point in going against religious people unless they are trying to justify something with their religion. He was for some reason downvoted, to which I reacted, because what he said is pretty much common sense. So again, for those who are either too lazy or too dumb to read properly and just post out of context words, then brand me a whatever makes them feel better about themselves: You can believe in anything you want, I don't care. However, if you'll try to justify bad behaviour by your religion, we have a problem. Also, if you understood IF and UNLESS, you'd get that I was giving examples and I never said OP is any of those.

Well, for instance nobody knows after whom I got my lips. Everyone in the family has slim lips but mine are plump. The best guess we have is that I got them after my great-great-aunt or something like that. They also can't tell after whom I have my nose. Then, both my parents are brown-eyed, but my eyes are green/hazel/grey/they actually kinda change color depending on the weather (weird as hell). Also, I'm blood type O, which in itself isn't impossible, but since it's a recessive trait, it's not exactly common to get an O when mixing different blood types than two Os. But, then again, if one parent is an O, which in my case is my mother, this trait is not so rare.

I was in the US last summer and an american girl I lived with told me that the american system sucks major balls (not only temperature but distance and so on as well), and she also told me about the switch as envius said, and apparently the problem was that the adults, especially the teachers who are responsible for teaching the system to the next generation, just couldn't do it. (Hell, they even tell the kids that Czechoslovakia still exists! Someone should really update their curriculum...) The kids would have no problem but the adults were too stuck in their way of thinking and too stubborn to re-learn, so it didn't work. I don't know much about american schools but she also told me that they use C°, grams and centimeters in chemistry and physics anyways, so at least high schoolers already know about it, just not enough to be able to use it in real life, I guess.

Nah. Predicting what may happen in the future from clear facts from the past is just simple deduction and while I do not 100% draw conclusions from it (thus the "may indicate" and "a bit concerning" part, which ironically you would understand if you didn't immediately jump into the conclusion that I'm a prude), I consider it a possibility.
