Good point. Besides, the reformation of the whole "religion vs science" thing started in Renaissance and continued through the Age of Enlightenment and further, and Western Culture stopped following religion to the letter. So maybe the only difference between Middle Eastern and Western culture is that we don't care about religion all that much.

Depends with me, but I do love the guitar solos in older rock songs. Now every popular band has a guest rapper instead.

I dare very much. I think it's trash.
Then again as a metalhead I think all pop music is trash, so there you go.

Sorry dude but your wording is a bit awkward and I honestly have no idea how to respond. I'm not trying to insult your grammar or anything, I just legit have no idea what you're talking about. Please explain so we can have a nice discussion?

Well making sure she won't produce any music might also be a motive.

Who Pays on a First Date? 8 comments
ewqua · 8 years ago
Whoever invites, pays. It's that simple. By inviting someone you're telling them you have enough money to pay for their meal, and it doesn't matter who earns more as long as both have enough. Sure, if your partner hit some hard times and is struggling to get by, it's best if you pay for them. But if both have enough money to pay for dinner without it influencing their everyday life, the rule applies.
Or, if you already know the person for a longer time and you're both comfortable with each other, you split the bill.

Yet the "real feminists" are putting zero effort in shutting them up, all they do is make excuses with the no true Scotsmen argument.

It is but if he deletes the messages you can't call him out on that. It's obviously cheating but taking action without solid proof may make you lose credibility, only over some stupid butthole.

Oh good, I applaud your common sense which is so rare nowadays. Anyway the problem is, there are more 3rd wave power-seeking feminists than people who call themselves feminists and actually just believe in equality, so more people associate the term with those feminazis. I prefer the term egalitarian because it grasps the spirit of the original feminism better than today's feminism.

Oh look, someone's trying to hide behind the definition of feminism again.
Look, most dictionaries try to be neutral with their definitions, so it happens that definitions for communism, fascism, nazism, and even feminism seem neutral (depends upon the dictionary though). So telling us the definition of feminism while we all know what it has become with their mansplaining and manspreading and absolutely not caring about countries where women are actually oppressed will not work.
I'm all for 1st and 2nd wave feminism. 3rd wave is just crap.

I see your point but this, exactly this, is why this culture clash and positive discrimination to refugee criminals are happening. "Don't blame them just because they're from a different culture!", say a lot of people. But their culture views women as inferior. That's the problem here and it was very well explained in the video. Their culture views women as a commodity. No to blaming rape on Muslim men, but also no to shutting your eyes from statistics that say that x% of recent rape cases were men from the Middle East. No to positive discrimination, no to letting our culture be stomped by theirs for the sake of political correctness.
Also, it's not about religion but rather about where the people come from. Demographics, geography, whatever you want to call it. Believing in Allah, God, or any pagan religion doesn't make you have different values as long as you live among people whose culture isn't oppressive. Culture =/= religion even though they're often intertwined.

Shouldn't radium and polonium be polish since it was discovered by Marie Curie Sklodowska? I mean, I know she married Pierre Curie and probably gained french citizenship, but shouldn't it be attributed to the country she was born in? (Unless she gave up her polish citizenship but I don't think she did)
