In my experience the best and most long lasting relationships blossom from strong friendships. The wait is worth it, better than meeting someone for the sole purpose of dating them and then regretting it because you didn't even have a chance to get to know them better before jumping into a relationship with them.
I've had crushes in my life as well and even though it hurt to hear them talk about other girls they liked, the fact that they were happy made me happy too. If you break off a friendship because the other person is happy with someone else, you never had real feelings for them. The only feeling you had was selfishness.
I'm not ignoring the existence of manipulative bitches who use men's feelings for their own gain. They exist and their presence can be destructive to one's self esteem and overall psyche. But it seems you're ignoring the existence of fuckboys.

Same with Dragon Age's Iron Bull, he's pansexual but monogamous. Being bi or pansexual doesn't mean you sleep with more people, just that you have a larger group to choose from

I like the way Shoe0nhead expressed it: being bi just means you like guys and chicks, but it doesn't mean you can't be monogamous. A bisexual person doesn't equal the village slut, fucking everyone left and right. You can be bi and be in a relationship with a dude, but that won't turn you straight. You can be bi and be in a relationship with a chick, but that won't turn you into a lesbian.
I really don't get how this can be a difficult concept to understand for some people.

Guys complain about the friend zone all the time but honestly I think it's more hurtful to find out that the person you thought of as a good friend was just pretending to care about you to get into your pants and he'll cut all ties with you when he realizes he can't.

None of these assumptions are close, we're a standard middle class family with no worries about money. In fact if you read the post correctly, you'd know that my parents buy a lot of stuff for themselves. But I understand that one doesn't have the energy or focus to make structured arguments at 4 AM and quite frankly I didn't sleep well either tonight, so excuse my babbling.

Thanks, I'll try. I've already picked up some bad habits from them and some on my own but I try to improve every day.

Yelling isn't going to teach me anything. If anything, I would learn if my mom told me where she stands on this calmly and put forth proper reasoning and arguments. In fact, the reason why I put this up was to get multiple points of view from other people on the internet. We're all anonymous here, more or less, so people won't shy away from saying what they really think and I appreciate that. I don't seek approval, I seek debates with reasonable people. Maybe someone here would've told me that I'm wrong and say good reasons why, and I would actually change my opinion. That's how it works. You can't makeup for bad content of your speech by making it louder.

@garlog Yeah...my mom can be moody sometimes.
@yozogoggo Thanks... Yeah, I would only give money to a charity I had previously researched, because there are some charities out there that keep most of what they're given for their higher-ups.

In the last panel it looks like he's giving himself a thumbs up for that joke. I'd probably do the same in that situation.

These are actually correct, although the Lincoln one is taken out of context. He also said that if he could save the Union by freeing all the slaves, he would do it. Also if he freed only some slaves he would do it. The point is he wanted to save the Union, the slaves were an optional side quest.

People who would legit kick out a dog because she's not "pure breed" make me sick. There are so many lovely dogs in shelters but so many people would rather get a pure breed. Not to mention that because of this inbreeding/selective breeding, many breeds have big health issues. Just look at pugs for chrissakes. Poor things can't even breathe properly.

Wasn't Irma a character in an animated show about teenage magical girls? W.I.T.C.H. I think? I'm only bringing this up because those are the only two occasions when I heard the name Irma.

I get that and I told them that I'm cool with paying rent and food but they said that I should focus on school without caring about money. Which is actually very nice of them, but that's why it seemed so weird that they would get their panties in a bunch over 20 bucks. And again, it was 20 bucks over the course of a half year. I hate shopping and I just don't buy stuff for myself very often because I don't need much so its not like I'm spending half my pay on charity, it was just 20 goddamn dollars.

Ok, storytime. In March, when I started regularly earning money (I'm also in college so the job is part time), I implemented a new policy on my life. I said to myself that I wouldn't spend that money on useless shit, and the way to really check myself is that whenever I buy something that I don't need (e.g. clothes that I bought just because they look nice, electronics...) I would give the same amount of money to charity. As you can see it worked because the only non vital thing I bought since then were headphones that were 80% off. Thus those $20. The charity would be one of my choice, and for my first time I chose UNICEF. My mom didn't only disapprove of the charity itself because "African people don't work and only want charity money, those moochers" but of the policy itself, saying I'm crazy and that I'll just lose all my hard earned money. I told her I only spent $20 bucks per a half year, but she still said I'm an idiot for doing this.

I have a job, it was my own money. I'm glad you're seeing the situation from multiple angles though, not everybody has the ability to doubt others' words without sounding accusatory.

I'm not bashing people for believing in stuff, I'm bashing them for mutilating their children for no other reason than their religion.
Also, to your other point about how people believed it to be healthy – that they used to believe it is excusable but as of now we have enough evidence to say that there are no health benefits (the stuff that circumcision can possibly prevent can also be prevented with good hygiene) however circumcision is still being done today. I can excuse ignorance when there isn't enough valid evidence, but right now there is, and people not caring enough to look it up and mutilating their children is inexcusable.

So in your eyes traps are more suitable than people who've gone through a sex change?
Hmm 17 comments
ewqua · 7 years ago
That's right, a sex change is a choice made by an adult individual that will influence only this individual's life. Circumcision is a harmful religious practice inflicted on small children by their backwards parents.

So you wouldn't date a circumcised man if you were a woman?

I would totally date a trans dude. So what if he used to be a woman, he's a man now. This shit is ridiculous. There are people with more plastic surgeries than a person who went through a sex change (*coughs* Kylie Jenner *coughs*), would you refuse them too because they got themselves bigger tits and a smaller nose?
