Then say far left, not just left. I'm sick and tired of people putting all left leaning people in the same bag with the feminazis and SJWs and all right leaning people with the Alt-Right and Christian fundamentalists. It creates an extreme dichotomy which is very counterproductive to any debate or conversation.

How is that even relevant? You're the one who called this random tweet leftist, not me.

But isn't it more selfish to demand other people to go against their nature just because you don't like it?
They're not hurting anyone, why do you care?

What's... what's wrong with that? I mean I don't really use the "[something] much" phrase but it's fairly common nowadays and I see nothing wrong, grammar or vocabulary-wise.

Again, you're one to talk.

But that's the thing, being overly polite to someone who's so insistent despite not having any protection with them may lead to them persuading you in the end, especially if alcohol is involved. Being rude to them will surely make them fuck off, and this girl has the right idea.

"Leftist"? Nowhere in the tweet was it specified that the guys or the user were left leaning. So you just admitted that in your eyes, being right wing equals being anti gay rights. By extension, anti human rights. Well isn't that telling, and you're one to talk about projection. Oh the irony.

My boyfriend works in retail and yeah, the stories he tells. Why is it _always_ old people pulling this kind of shit? Just yesterday his colleague was supposed to close at 8PM and he had an annoying couple of retirees ask him stupid questions up until 8:45!
They were also wearing socks with sandals though so maybe they were just a pair of psychopaths.

Totally fine with the "two people's experiences aren't the same thing" but I have experienced serious double standards, people who were attacked by animals are usually permitted to be afraid whilst people who were attacked by people aren't, is all I'm saying.

I was raped when I was just seven year old. Do I just jump in fear and pull out a crucifix whenever I see a man? No.
Him judging all dogs by one bad experience is a problem indeed and a big personality flaw. But in my experience, people whose scars are visible are usually more coddled and therefore more likely to stay in this generalizing mindset than people whose scars are internal.

If you like change, then yeah, wigs are awesome, especially since you can wear different styles with different outfits which is cool. I'm kinda conservative (in other words, afraid that change is gonna fuck me up and I'm gonna look like a tool) about my hair so the only big change I ever did was cutting it from mid-back to shoulder lenght lol
Though I think that maybe it also has something to do with the fact that in the past, African American women have been shamed for their natural hair (there's a bunch of articles about girls being sent home to "fix their hair" because they had natural afro hair, in some cases this bias was even reflected in the schools' dress code, and some of those articles are even from 2017!) and some women tried to hide it with wigs or used straighteners which of course is not healthy for the hair. Hopefully, this terrible shaming is a thing of the past, people of any and all shapes, colors and backgrounds shouldn't be shamed for their natural look <3

If you don't like dogs, I don't like you.
You can prefer cats, sure, but just not liking dogs? What kind of monster are you?

Oooh ok, I see. I suppose naturally curly hair is a little harder to work with, then a wig makes sense.

I never understood this. In my personal experience, black women are more likely to wear wigs than white women, when their hair is totally healthy. I think your hair is beautiful, gurl! You don't have to hide it.

Hmm, no I think it is a relevant argument to compare them, because it helps people realize that the gap between our morals/common sense and the law may be a lot bigger than we imagine.

Yes there is. In the US, drug related crimes are so overly punished it's ridiculous. Selling a chemical substance can get you a lot more years in jail than actually violating a person's body without their consent, and I'm not talking only about the Turner case. It's fucked up in principle and it's well demonstrated by these two cases but they aren't the only representation of it.
"Prison sentences for rape are not uniform. A study made by the U.S. Department of Justice of prison releases in 1992, involving about 80 percent of the prison population, found that the average sentence for convicted rapists was 9.8 years, while the actual time served was 5.4 years."
ONLY 5 YEARS. That's ridiculous!
The guy in the post got the same punishment as a murderer could get. Don't tell me there isn't any point in pointing that out.

Literally nobody said they're more enlightened. It seems like your whole part in this thread is you feeling attacked by a strawman you made up.

Yes. I just don't get why you're so offended by all this. Nobody's attacking you, or the country. They're saying "hey here's a problem, let's fix it" and even if you disagree with that and think they're just pretentious, I don't get why you're so touchy about it.

Insulting people you disagree with will surely make me think that you're a reasonable, totally not overly nationalistic person. Yeah.
Even if they're not right, why should they be stopped from expressing their opinion? Isn't freedom of speech one of the core values y'all are supposed to fight for?

Sooo what exactly was supposed to annoy men about this? The fact that they didn't eat salad to stay thin? Or the "immodest" clothing? Or just hanging out with other women instead of taking care of a m̶a̶n̶b̶a̶b̶y̶ husband?
