Yes apparently there's a new Grinch movie and he's the voice for the Grinch. Reviews say it's a 6/10 though.

I would say don't judge a book by its cover, but with trailers it's a bit different since it's supposed to show the best the movie has to offer. And also your judgement was right since the movie's reviews are pretty bad.

I didn't even know about it, but I looked it up and... no. Just another Hollywood reboot trying to piggyback off a famous name (both of the franchise itself and the actors involved). Of course I didn't expect it to be good.

I do feel bad that we're letting these pathetic creatures define our standards of beauty, though. Just like these celebrity cults, we're just making stupid people famous.

I think many models don't realize they're living a bad lifestyle until it comes back to bite them in the arse when the health problems come up. Sometimes not even then. They've been brainwashed, just like many other people, into thinking that the thinner you are, the more attractive you are. I mean, there are stories of anorexic girls with BMI 15 wanting to be even thinner because that's what society told them is beautiful and they've internalized it to an extreme extent. It's a self-repeating process, extremely thin models are chosen to represent the most attractive people (even though, as someone mentioned before, they don't look attractive at all when you take off the makeup and Photoshop), they then play a part in influencing young people into thinking that being malnourished is synonymous with being attractive, which makes impressionable people eat less, then they become models which is what they've always dreamt of because they've been told it means they're attractive, and so on.

I agree. Maybe I'm just emotionally immature but damn this story makes my blood boil. One thing is having problems with your partner that lead to divorce, that I can understand to a certain extent. But another thing is completely distancing yourself from your child even to the point when they're not even worth a bit of child support money to you. That's just... ugh. Disgusting. And then starting a new family like the first one doesn't even matter. It hasn't happened to me either so maybe my point of view is completely off since I can't relate, but damn does this make me angry. Maybe because men leaving women (either when they find out the woman is pregnant and just don't want the responsibility or for other reasons when the child is born already) has been such a culturally normalized thing until so very recently that when somebody does that it reminds me of the shitty, oppressive past when men were held to no standards regarding kids.

I know I'm late to the party but I'd like to chime in with these two articles:
https://i-d.vice.com/en_uk/article/43w5nn/the-bmi-debate-how-do-you-measure-the-health-of-models
https://luxuryactivist.com/fashion/top-models-body-mass-index-health-red-alert/
So yeah models are seriously underweight and if you find that attractive, that's your preference (although I would feel pretty terrible about myself if I only dated people who have severe health issues because of their weight), just don't try to make it the highest standard because it's just not good for people's health, physical and mental.

Not me. I usually wipe it well enough but if I feel like there hasn't been a proper wipe, I wait until I get home and take a shower.

Princess, I wasn't asked a direct question, there was nothing for me to respond to. That said, question 1-3 are not about that at all, I don't know where you got that from. Question 1 is about a stressful environment, question 2 about unrealistic employers' standards and question 3 about shitty colleagues. Questions 4-6 deal with a similar topic, which I guess could be summarized into not feeling adequately paid for the work you put in. It seems more likely that OP is frustrated about employers exploiting the fact that most people don't know what they're worth, or if they do, they just don't have enough balls to ask for a raise, and this goes as far as the employer trying to find out whether they can get away with underpaying someone at the very beginning, during the interview. But it is all hyperbolic, and I can't see into the author's head, so me trying to seriously figure out if this means this or that would be as foolish as you just proclaiming that OP wants free shit.

Not debunking and just making sassy sarcastic comments. That's the closest I've ever seen someone admit they've run out of arguments without really admitting it.

I'm frankly not sure about the tampon tip... I read somewhere that tampons were indeed originally used to plug bullet holes (although I'm not sure if that's true, after all I just read it on some internet post) but today's tampons are so incredibly absorbent and can puff up to over twice their girth. Wouldn't that just painfully stretch the flesh around the wound and make it hard to get the tampon out? I mean, tampons work so well with vaginas because those are stretchy and you can get it out even after it puffs up. With other kinds of flesh, though, I'm not so sure. I know nothing about bullet wounds or really any kind of wounds though so I hope somebody smarter than me can clarify.

I love how princess just assumed that OP is a lazy fuck who wants free shit based on one hyperbolic post and then went on a fucking rant about people wanting everybody to cater to their pwecious feewings and how matthewg is a safe space needing snowflake even though his comment said nothing even close to that.
This is just anecdotal and therefore only reflective of my own experience but I've noticed that the "facts over feelings" crowd really likes to jump to conclusions (aka their personal feelings about something) based on almost no facts. The irony.

I'm a young fart and I consider that atrocious. OP is lucky she woke up at the right time, otherwise a terrible crime would've been committed.
That said, I guess the penguin meme was used because, well, there isn't any other meme format that would deal with that sort of thing. Nor should there be, because it'd indicate that it's normal which it's definitely not.
