Do people think this is really helping their dead loved ones in any way? No, they're a corpse, they don't care, we only do it for us, out of our own sentimentality, and the planet suffers for it. I am in no way saying you should repress your mourning BUT there are better ways to do it. In fact, many funeral directors exploit the fact that the family is mourning to sell them overpriced crap like rubber lined coffins! But you can skip all this, have a natural burial and then instead of a gravestone you can have a little shrine at home with pictures of your deceased loved ones and, idk, put up flowers and candles. You don't have to buy into this just because it's the traditional ritual. (2/2)

I have green eyes that look almost like green aquamarine under bright light but grey/brown in the dark. Maybe it's a similar situation, maybe his head is facing a light in the first picture but then turns away.
