And do so as we please
Come along with me
To a cliff under a tree
Where we can gaze upon the water
As an everlasting dream
(I miss that show so much ಥ_ಥ)

Those are really vague statements that in reality don't say anything. Promote equality how? Because this can go many ways. Scientific advancement in which fields? Some people would say disciplines like psychology or sociology don't deserve the funding necessary for their advancement.
There's a difference between holding certain views but not wanting to be associated with parties or "sides" due to their tendency to get kind of tribalistic, and refusing to be pinned down to any position whatsoever. It's not a virtue if your views are this vague.

It's a joke about pro-lifers
And the fact that literally nobody is actually killing kids to stop climate change, people are just choosing not to have them

They used to say abortion is murder... now they say choosing not to have children is murder as well. How much further will they keep moving the goalposts?

Mfw I thrift and look better than bitches in expensive athleisure for 10% of the price ╮(. ᴗ .)╭
Sarcastic quips aside, I actually don't judge or care if that's the style you like. I just think paying a lot of money for something that was made by a Chinese child for $2 isn't a super smart way to go about it. And thrift stores have gotten really good as of late, people are usually really surprised when I tell them 90% of my stuff is thrifted because it's in such a good state.
I also bought a sewing machine recently so I can fit my clothes better. Especially shirts because having big boobs and a small waist is a freaking curse with non-elastic clothing.

Capitalists: "greed and selfishness are good and help people improve, don't blame people for being greedy"
Also capitalists: "if govt officials weren't so greedy and easy to bribe the problem wouldn't exist"
Can't we just agree that the assholes who deny clean water to people for profit are just as bad as the assholes who get bribed by them into not pushing for sensible regulations?

Same, I'm a sucker for classic oxfords or regular old boots. But to each their own.

Speaking of shoes, am I the only one who finds the current trend where the top of the shoe looks like a sock absolutely atrocious?

Do people think this is really helping their dead loved ones in any way? No, they're a corpse, they don't care, we only do it for us, out of our own sentimentality, and the planet suffers for it. I am in no way saying you should repress your mourning BUT there are better ways to do it. In fact, many funeral directors exploit the fact that the family is mourning to sell them overpriced crap like rubber lined coffins! But you can skip all this, have a natural burial and then instead of a gravestone you can have a little shrine at home with pictures of your deceased loved ones and, idk, put up flowers and candles. You don't have to buy into this just because it's the traditional ritual. (2/2)

While we're on the topic, the funeral industry is harmful to the planet as well! Embalming fluids that seep into underground water, mining stone for gravestones, lacquered coffins with metal, polyester and rubber parts that obviously don't decompose particularly well, cremation (which is, however, still better than embalming by the way), and many other things that we do to our dead to make them look dignified. Not to mention the land we waste on cemeteries that could be used for growing crops! (1/2)
