Hades is also connected with wealth and gems and gold. So really the three god brothers in Greek mythology represent the three oldest industries: Poseidon represents hunting and agriculture, Hades mining and smithing, and Zeus... well...

Religion evolved as a way to codify "common sense" morality, not the other way around. There are many things in religious books that are considered immoral that we consider okay now, such as wearing mixed fabrics. What is considered moral changes over time, and religion adapts to it. This is very much an egg vs chicken type of situation, Prager claims that without religion morality would be just an opinion, when in reality if it wasn't for opinions about morality, there might be no religions.

The tattoo artist at least gets shit done. The conclusion of all corporate meetings I've been to was "let's have another meeting", those people were literally paid to pretend to be working. I'm glad to be working at a small company now lol

Didn't they literally say it in the movie? Like, it was part of the verse that showed up on the game board?

I'm a straight woman so I'm not turned on per se but from an aesthetic standpoint, I know what you mean. Even when someone is wearing just a big scarf around their neck, like a pashmina, it looks really cool how the fabric drapes around them.

Didn't his wife also force him to pay her insane amounts of money in alimony? I've read that the divorce hit him hard too because since he wasn't as famous as he used to be at that time anymore, she basically asked for all his earnings.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I still don't think a single platform is the solution, but it's true that the way things are now is far from ideal. Especially if you're from a country that isn't the US, like in my country Netflix's selection is crap (I guess because of licencing and stuff) but the prices are the same which is bs.

Yesss you summed up my feelings on it exactly. The aesthetic is so nice. But I wouldn't like to go back to get treated like I'm subhuman. Just look at ads from that time. "So easy to use a woman can figure it out!" Like excuse me what the fuck. Or the ones that straight up supported domestic violence. It was not a good time to be a woman. Even the fashion, as nice as it was, was very strict.

You just know this was started by one idiot and then everyone followed suit because going against it would waste space

Do YOU want a monopoly? Because pushing for all shows to be distributed by one company is how you get a monopoly.

Iirc the apple gave humans the ability to know good and evil... so they didn't before eating it so they and didn't know it was bad. So really the game was rigged from the start.

Lol slavery is mentioned in the Bible, and not in a condemning way. So I guess slavery is great?
