In my country it's mandatory to wear face masks outside of your home. Just a few days ago my boyfriend witnessed an old man pull down his mask... so he could cough out in the open. How did that saying go? If you think you designed an idiot-proof thing, the universe sends you a bigger idiot?

It's beautiful! I've been wanting to make some wire-wrapped jewellery as well, especially some with a Tree of Life (Yggdrasil) design, but I haven't had time to do it yet. And besides I have no idea how lol

It definitely is. But when the relationship ends and you try those cheesy lines on someone new, they might be weirded the hell out, is what I meant. Hence "losing your flirting skills" because all the pickup lines have been replaced by cheesy remarks. Flirting is also about being able to read people to tell what kind of flirting they might like, whether it's more on the side of cheesy jokes or sexy teasing, but when you've only flirted with one person for years, you might have lost that perspective. And the only way to keep that perspective is by flirting with people who aren't your partner. I think that's why mrscollector meant by her original comment as well.

No I think mrscollector has a point, though her first comment came off too strongly. Being with someone for a long time makes you get used to their style of humor and even the flirting/remarks you two make which would probably be way too cheesy to make in front of someone you don't know that well yet.

I feel you. I'm not dumb but I often have trouble getting my point across clearly, mostly in person (I think I might have Asperger's but I haven't gone to a therapist to confirm it yet) but sometimes in writing as well. I try to be nuanced so I just overexplain every point but in the end it just comes across as a confused and convoluted babble. I also try to empathize with people's point of view and oftentimes idiots who just want to score internet points instead of having a productive discussion take my "I agree with x, but there is a problem in the argument of y" as "you won the argument, congrats, you smart cookie you" which is just so frustrating! Just because I have nuance doesn't mean your crazy ass conspiracy theory about Bill Clinton being a lizard person is right. Smh.

At this point I'd rather eat instant ramen for the rest of my life than see one more piece of "news" about the Kardashians.

Exactly. Though wouldn't say it's always a "thing for bad boys/girls". In many cases it is, but some people, especially women in communities with strict gender roles (like fundamentalist religious communities) are more vulnerable to being preyed on by predatory, controlling men, because they've been told they're supposed to be subservient, that they're less than men because men can talk to God, and so on. On top of that, divorce is shamed in those communities so these women are told that marital rape and abuse is still preferable to divorce. I remember reading a post about a woman from Utah who divorced her husband after he nearly killed her while she was pregnant. What was the thing she was the most happy about after the divorce? The fact that she could finally name her own child. Shit gets real creepy with some of these fundies and people raised in this sort of indoctrination are especially vulnerable to manipulation and abuse. (For example check out Repzion's video on James Saroka)

So apparently the reason is that the mother-in-law saw the dress on sale for very cheap and couldn't resist. Which, I mean okay, I get that the need to show off your discounted stuff is prominent in our very consumerist culture, but wearing a wedding dress to somebody else's wedding is kind of a bad call tbh. First of all hasn't she ever heard of thrifting? You can get beautiful dresses in great shape for so cheap, cheaper than any discount in a mainstream store. Second of all, you can also dye things, just yeet it in the washing machine with some dye and you have a beautiful dress that doesn't look like a wedding dress. Like, light blue would in my opinion look very nice on that particular dress.

For anyone who's curious, it means a party where people exchange funny, impractical gifts.
Sorry, I've spent too much time on tech forums and "nevermind I figured out the solution" or "nevermind I found it" with no follow-up answer triggers me so I had to clarify for others.

A lot of Mexican food is actually relatively easy to cook at home. Now, it's hard to get the taste 100% right, but if you're not picky, making wraps or Mexican style rice isn't hard. My recommendation: rice with good quality chorizo, corn, beans, and a bit of tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes. Don't forget to top it with sour cream, it pushes the taste to another level. There's also oftentimes cilantro but I have that "cilantro tastes like soap" gene so I skip it.

@bruh What does she think about the Gospel of Judas and other non-canonical stories like the story of Lilith? I'm super curious if they learn and discuss about them.

I hate Ice Ice Baby with a burning passion because whenever it starts playing I get excited that it's Under Pressure and then BAM, Vanilla Ice starts rapping terribly and my day is ruined.
Also I'm pretty sure the lady at the top of the picture is Asian, at least partly.

Once me and my bf had sexy time when the cat was in the room because he refused to leave his cat tree.
He has never looked so offended. But still didn't leave his tree.
