I don't wanna be conspiratorial but have you guys seen the video of a dude showing up just to break windows, who was *allegedly* outed as a cop by his ex? Just saying, it's sketchy. And yeah I definitely agree that people going out to break and steal shit under the cover of a protest is not the way to go. That said, peaceful protest has been tried as well and a lot of people were against that too. (I'm talking about Kaepernick etc kneeling) So in a way I guess I can understand that some people might be feeling trapped and like the only way for them to be heard is riot. But the crowds are for sure full of opportunists as well.

Nah, my man, nah. I'm of a pretty relativist mind myself, especially when it comes to cultures and traditions, but this isn't a good justification. It's like saying "someone copes with hating their job by quitting, someone kills their boss! Not everyone is coping with situations like this the same way, can't judge! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ " Like, under these specific circumstances (as in, the people involved living in a first world country where divorce is an option and arranged marriages are not a thing), one solution is very clearly better.
