I mean, I feel no joy from someone else's misfortune. But also, karma.

I think you need to realize that there are tons of people on the internet who'd say what you said completely unironically, and my comment was addressed to those who would unironically agree with your comment rather than you directly.

That's because the people following this alpha beta shit are stubborn, weak-minded simpletons. They latch onto this and won't let go because they're too weak to admit that a person can change their mind when presented with new evidence. Ironically the dudes who think themselves alpha for liking or pretending to like surface level 'masculine' stuff are the biggest betas because they're in it just for the masculine prestige and not genuine interest. You can't really convince pathetic people like that.

What? Admitting you were wrong and trying to fix your mistake is a pretty "alpha" move.

And yet dudebros and toxic people will still keep referring to the original study as if it applied to people as well. When it doesn't even apply to wolves.

Unrealistic. They'd never admit they're wrong lol
Instead they'd say the windows are actually screens or something

The fact that he kept it all these years because he knew he or his descendants would need it one day is... sobering, to say the least.

Ok but like men always brag about their superior pockets but whenever you go anywhere with a guy he ends up putting a bunch of stuff in your handbag anyway, like when he buys a bottle of water while you're out or something. And they always rely on you to have a shopping bag, umbrella, tissues etc because they don't carry anything besides their phone, keys and wallet. Is that just my experience or are dudes hypocrites lol

Let me in! There's this crazy goose chasing me and I can't take it anymore!
(If you've ever been attacked by a goose, you'll know that they could scare a bear. They're fucking vicious.)

Modern arranged marriages 11 comments

I'm not from India nor am I particularly familiar with the local culture or the culture surrounding arranged marriages, but my best guess is, as is the case with a lot of traditional cultures, that there is a lot of pressure on the woman to be the perfect housewife whereas the man is expected to do nothing at home and just be taken care of. The last frame shows the mother of the potential groom looking distraught (and I guess the potential bride looking amused?), because I guess she didn't expect the family of the bride to put the same kind of pressure/standards on the groom as his family puts on the bride.
But that's only my guess, I'd be happier if someone who's actually familiar with this culture could explain.
(Edit: oh wow I've used the word guess so much in this comment I'm starting to feel like it's not a real word. I only meant to emphasize that I'm not trying to explain this to anyone confidently because I'm only trying to interpret this through my limited knowledge)

My grandma maintains that it's actually better to stick a hand or foot out so that they bite it and don't go for your face. Which makes sense I guess, once I got bit on my forehead and it looked awful for the rest of the day.

The cat at the bottom looks very concerned.
And he's probably right to be, when the dog decides to jump off the cat tree will topple.

I feel like the phrase does elephants a disservice. They're such smart and gentle animals. Centipedes, on the other hand, don't only look like the stuff of nightmares, they're also aggressive, they bite, and some are venomous (granted, not enough to kill you, but still). So a centipede would probably be a bigger issue than a nice elephant.
