Disney can't understand racism or irony (SFW) 32 comments

Yea, fuck Disney. I disagree with Carano's tweets (and tbh i lost a little bit of respect for her when I learned she's now working with squeaky Benny Shapiro, but given the tweets' content I guess it's not a surprise) but firing her to appease some asshole libtards who want to 'cancel' people over different opinions... fuck those people and fuck Disney.

That's one bar for each like 50 pages. You wanna get obese? Because that's how you get obese.
Although the principle is right, you gotta reward yourself to motivate yourself to work.

Mouthwash with alcohol is apparently not actually very good for you. It leaves your teeth vulnerable to in the long run. I use mouthwash with fluorine bc that helps strengthen the enamel.

We never did find a way to get a hold of the guy who was the first, but along the way we sure learned a lot about myself and my wife.

The first at what? The wife's first husband or something?

Oh totally, different people experience period pain differently, that's why I was commenting on my personal experience with a rolled ankle vs periods. Some people have it better, others much worse with cramps and stuff, I just get constant lower back pain.
But yeah it's funny for someone to be comparing something they've never experienced.

Willfree is a timelord confirmed.
Along with all the others who posted the double heart thing, apparently predictive text likes that one.

Once during MMA practice I rolled my ankle so much that in the evening it swole up and I could barely walk the next day.
Still not as bad as some periods.

Never buying chips: a tragedy in two acts 6 comments

Relatable.
Sometimes when I really feel like chips I bake a batch of red lentil chips. They're healthier than potato chips AND the fact that I spent an hour making them makes me think twice about eating them in one sitting.

To be fair, liking cheese is a solid plus. I'm mildly skeptical of people who dislike cheese (except for health/dietary reasons). I get disliking certain kinds of cheese but just disliking cheese in general is weird as hell.

I learned the hard way that you can't cheer up a grieving friend with a truck and trailer.
...
What, you can't? Sounds great to me, I'd use them to travel the continent, that'll bring your mind off grieving.
Also this is the second time my predictive text mentioned trucks... I think these games must be confusing it lol. But that's only for the best, as it'll be even more hilarious on the next post.

Birds are weird. (But cute as heck)

Surely reporters would never Make-Up the news to trigger people 3 comments

Yeah, I remember a few people bitching about it being sexist and whatnot when it came out. Fortunately most people just made fun of those.
Back then I didn't know that's what its purpose was so I tried it on myself for shits and giggles (for context, I don't wear makeup at all, I tried it on my makeup-less skin) and it made me look like I haven't slept for a week lol.
I really hope the developer wasn't discouraged by those mean spirited thin-skinned aresholes, this is a hell of a noble goal to pursue. I wonder if law enforcement/airport staff actually use it or if they have their own methods.

At the same time though, I don't blame them for being mad. They've lost their job through no fault of their own, the reason they're being laid off are (most commonly anyway, not counting system-wide crises or catastrophes) bad decisions of the higher ups, yet the little guy's taking the fall while the managers get fat bonuses. I get it, supply and demand, the manager is more important and less easy to replace so the company won't punish him, but I also think that the little guy's anger isn't unsubstantiated.
This conversation is becoming more and more relevant with automation and people losing their jobs as a result of it. Is it their fault that the skillset they cultivated is no longer needed? What should they do when their whole field is so reduced in terms of open job positions? Those are big questions I don't have answers to but I wouldn't call the workers "just butthurt", I think there's more nuance to the issue than that.

I'd watch that. Especially if it was in the early 2000s style with all them text messages on flip phones and parents trying to decipher what the heck "LOL", "OMG" and "G2G" mean
