Oh no, it was the bad online reviews, woe is me! *kicks unethical shady shit under the carpet*
Edit: for the record, I don't think sex work in itself is bad or unethical, but the way the comment was worded made it seem like there was more to it, like the people were forced to do it or something. I'm not a native English speaker so I'm not quite sure if there's a difference between prostitution and sex work? The former kind of implies an exploitative environment, y'know like a pimp and girls who are forced into it, or am I completely off the mark?

In Czech we call it a brick of butter. Now I'm curious what other languages call it.

Yup yup, that's EXACTLY how my PC acted before it died and I had to get a new motherboard and CPU. Literally took minutes to react to a click, with only one browser tab opened. I was only lucky I had my tablet with school files synced with Google Drive, otherwise I wouldn't be able to turn in assignments. So on the flip side, chances are you won't even have to stage an "accident", it will probably soon die on its own. That said old Lenovos have surprisingly good endurance so who knows.

Well I'd say that's well deserved given the amount of shady, deceptive tactics from CDPR, sometimes even outright lying to consumers. Also fixing the bugs won't fix the empty, soulless world and AI.

Thank you for the recommendation! I know it's a very popular book and it's definitely on my to-read list but I haven't got to it yet.

I've been saying for the longest time that I want to be buried naturally with a tree planted over my corpse. No embalming and lacquered coffin that poison the underground water, just a shroud and a tree. Imagine if everyone did this and we had forests instead of cemeteries. I think it'd be beautiful.

Hodl the jar! - Hodor, probably 1 comments

Tip: you can remove the paper label on glass jars, bottles etc with oil (as in cooking oil, for example sunflower). Only rub the oil into the label with your fingers and let it sit overnight. If the label is made of waxed paper, you might want to peel the corners and sides a bit first so that the oil can soak in properly. Or just tear it off to expose the non-waxed paper underneath. Peel the label off in the morning, if there are any remaining bits of glue left, put some more oil on a paper towel and rub it off. Afterwards wash the glass with warm water and dish soap to get the oil off.
I do this whenever I need a jar for something or with wine bottles that I use for cold water/iced tea, they look really elegant and neat and they don't leak chemicals into your water unlike plastic bottles. I also bought some silicone wine bottle plugs at a kitchen supplies store, they work great and you can even lay the bottle sideways, they don't leak at all, unless you use them for carbonated stuff.

100% agreed! I don't understand where this "what's wrong?" "nothing" stereotype about women comes from. Most people will tell you if you're close to them. If people around you hesitate to tell you about their problems, you might want to do a bit of introspection as to why they don't trust you enough to share instead of blaming them or calling them illogical and whatnot.

Hey, I feel you. I've been working on my diploma thesis for months and only got like 15 pages of meaningless word salad. It feels like such a big chunk of work and I'm tired and unmotivated all the time. And I feel so angry at myself because just last year I was easily able to ace all the assignments like they were elementary school homework.
Turns out I might actually be depressed/burnt out, so if what I wrote resonated with you, please consider seeking professional help. You're not the only one, especially during this time. In regards to school, many universities now offer free sessions for their students, so maybe if you don't have a lot of money to spend on private therapy, you can look into that.

Just because someone can't point out the one exact thing that's wrong doesn't mean there isn't a cause. Maybe there are multiple things wrong, a complex web of issues in which you can't just point out the one.
And is it really more logical to break your screen in a fit of anger because you died in a video game than crying because of complex factors such as relationship problems or your socioeconomic situation?

Yeah there's this weird mindset in the manosphere that anger "doesn't count" as an emotion but crying does. But honestly ugly crying while eating ice cream every once in a while is potentially less destructive than getting angry and either destroying something or hurting someone.
Imo we should encourage men to talk about their feelings more, the status quo where men are discouraged from being emotional at all only leads to men hurting themselves or others. Ain't healthy for anyone, y'all.

Again, skepticism is great, I just find it kinda illogical to publicly state you don't believe something and then just leave it and never check if it's actually true or not. But tbh I don't care that much either, so carry on and have fun. People have done weirder shit to stave off boredom.

Sure, sure. It's not like you'd care a great deal more if you were proven right, just to smear it all over everyone's face. When it turns out you're wrong though, it's all water under the bridge, eh?
Being skeptical is a virtue, but I always thought the best course of action when suspecting you're being lied to is to find out the truth. Easy solution especially with stuff that's freely available online, much easier than making up speculations.

Then why don't you watch the video to find out instead of dismissing the post based purely on your speculation? Afraid you'll find out that it proves the post right?
Because it does. The cop basically rests on Crowder's back/trapeze the entire time, not even with his full weight, you can see his weight is shifted more to his heels than the knee (and not even wearing any gear which can easily add 20lbs as @medros already mentioned). So yeah in conclusion Stephen Chowder is, as always, completely full of shit.

Edit: I also found this video of a doctor analyzing and explaining Floyd's autopsy results. It seems pretty well done and informative if you want to learn more about the case

.
Edit #2: also to add some of my own anecdotal evidence, I'm a MMA practitioner and so I know that if someone a bit heavier than you as much as lays or sits down on your chest for more than 30 seconds, that in itself is enough to make it VERY hard for you to breathe
