Right, right, they invented the concept of global Jihad and all that. But they never would reach the power to invade the US. The thing about these terrorist organizations is that they get created by local issues. In many cases, such as with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (note: not affiliated with the Taliban), these terrorist organizations begin in rural areas where the local government doesn't have the power to effectively enact justice or even infrastructure. Oftentimes these groups begin as vigilantes in high crime areas abandoned by the local government and only radicalize later on, but in most cases their core remains local. Yes ISIS made instructional videos and stuff like that, radicalizing people in other countries and making them do terrorist attacks, but they wouldn't be able to get enough manpower to actually invade the US in a million years.

Is it really a thing that can "run in the family"? Sounds to me more like a thing caused by lifestyle or old age.

Lol I guess he also wouldn't give up his seat for a person with a broken leg because it was their choice to do the activity that caused it to break in the first place? "Not my fault you decided to go skiing, Matthew! Now stand here and hop on one leg, I don't care if you fall!"

Oh, no doubt, chicken nuggets are just blended chicken meat/skin remains with flour. They're neither good for you nor a culinary masterpiece, but sometimes you just really crave that delicious fried junk, y'know?

Sooo the concepts of "you are what you eat" and "I think therefore I am" have been invented much longer ago? Neat!

@title I'm sorry about that, mate. My mom is nice but my grandma from my father's side, oof, she's a piece of work. I haven't been telling her anything personal for years now because I know for a fact she'd use that against me, ie. to belittle or insult me in front of other people, the first chance she gets if I did something that displeased her.

My custom mask, in a place that just lifted mask restrictions 7 comments

Eh, you can pass covid by just talking to someone. Limiting it to "just cover your mouth while you sneeze" is not really accurate tbh.
But yes, single layer cloth masks don't really protect you or anyone around you. The fabric is too thin and there's too much space between the fibers. On the other hand, N95 are single use, you're supposed to throw them out after 8 hours or so. Not very eco friendly. Personally I sew my masks out of at least two layers of thick fabric (denim is really good for example) and with a pocket for a replaceable carbon filter inside. And also it's necessary to wash or steam/boil your masks regularly.

You're not alone, my man. I'm fairly active/athletic and I hate running/jogging too. It's so damn boring, your only hope of some entertainment is if you play an audiobook in your headphones while you jog.

They are but they're nowhere near as powerful as they used to be. So yeah, basically destroyed is a good way to put it.
Anyway I hate to explain my jokes but the point was, at the height of ISIS's power almost every US war hawk was fear mongering about them as if they could just invade the US at any moment, and using it to justify further bloating up the military budget.

No, clearly the military budget has to stay. Otherwise ISIS would invade Nebraska.

It's ironic because it looks like one of those really crappy one layer masks that don't protect at all lol

PS: Thank you so much for keeping this conversation civil and polite! I've had some unpleasant convos lately on this website with people who immediately resorted to ad hominems and fallacies upon disagreement, so this conversation has been a breath of fresh air.
And yes, you have my permission to use my part of the convo in your video! I'm really curious about the concept too, if you could link it when it's released, that'd be awesome!
