Hey I'm not a native English speaker either but from my understanding, gathering or foraging refers to picking stuff from the wild whereas harvesting is more about getting stuff you've yourself grown/produced, like from a field or a greenhouse. Hunter-gatherer societies existed before the agricultural revolution, hence the difference. That said harvesting is nowadays used as a rather general word so it could probably be used as well.
If you don't mind me asking, how similar are the four languages you mentioned? I know very little of Tagalog and pretty much nothing about the others so I'm curious, because I didn't know there were such linguistic differences in the Philippines.

Yup, this is also why many people self harm by cutting. A lot of people think they're doing it "for attention" or something but they're just trying to release endorphins that their brain lacks. But it's obviously not sustainable. Exercising, being in nature, self-care and mindfulness are the way to go.

@lucky11 Well said, I fully agree with your assessment. If there truly are differences, they will persist even when there's equality of opportunity. If there aren't, then there's no reason to keep a certain hierarchy. In either case, judging people as individuals and allowing them the same opportunities is the way to go. As for the "women tend to be better at different things than men" – even if you were able to prove it was nature and not just nurture, it's in no way a green light for society-wide policy or rules whatsoever. Even if 99% of women said they'd want to be housewives, freedom of choice should be preserved, if for that 1% alone.
