Ukrainians have shown that outdated Russian tech can't compare against their balls of steel. It's incredible how well they're holding up, and how much support other European countries including mine have given them. Well I guess the latter part isn't all that surprising, anyone living in the former Soviet bloc knows that Putin isn't gonna stop at Ukraine if he gets his way.

Honestly, so much yes.
Sorry if this is TMI or rambly but having been raised by a parent with narcissistic tendencies (not full blown NPD – just caught some "fleas" from grandmother who is a full blown narcissistic manipulator), growing up I felt like I was living in two completely distinct realities – at home I was a total piece of shit incapable of even basic tasks (that's what I was told whenever I made a simple mistake or got a B at school) and everywhere else I was a gifted, clever kid that just sometimes messes up, like literally everyone else does. When I finally burnt out from the pressure, I went to a therapist and found out that I'm not a total piece of shit for not always being perfect, and that motivation should come from within, not from outside pressure, because you will burn out that way.
So yeah, therapy is fucking awesome.

Huh, someone seems to have taken a nap right on top of my package. Now it's all smushed!
It's okay tho, 10/10 would have their package smushed again.

Sounds like you're pretty damn strong, I wouldn't worry about weight too much in that case. Muscles weigh more than fat :) and I believe it's spelled "thicc". I'm that way too, basically when you look at me you can tell I work out hard but you can also tell I love food.

IIn Ancient Egypt they would measure things like fabrics by "cubits" which is the length from your middle fingertip to your elbow. So when shopping for fabrics, families would send their tallest members to get a better deal!

I mean, I'm not gonna get into a whole discussion here but isn't it hilarious how the "ESPECIALLY MINORITIES" part has been cropped out? You post a meme that is VERY explicit in its message and then half-assedly crop out the part that would invite the sort of discussion Karl has been trying to engage in. I mean, c'mon. I know you post a lot of stuff, and most of it is really cute and funny. But perhaps it would be useful to double check before hitting the post button, just to make sure what you post doesn't explicitly disagree with you.
And famous, Karl never said what you're ascribing to him here. I know you want him to be made of straw really badly, but he is flesh and bone just like you. So maybe grant him some humanity instead of putting words in his mouth, eh?

Maybe I'm brainwashed by patriarchal standards but I honestly mostly wanna look fit and strong. Both for aesthetic reasons and also because looking like you could kick someone's ass is in itself a good deterrent to potential harassers lol

You think a raccoon would be able to use a tiny glock? I feel like not only they could, they'd have better trigger discipline than a lot of people.

I usually make a character that represents me (both in terms of looks and personality) on my first playthrough and then go wild with the next ones.
Recently I started playing a game called Solasta: Crown of the Magister which is basically DnD in video game form (with dice rolls, ability checks, alignment and everything), and you can create your whole squad in that game (including writing a backstory if you want!) so of course I spent waaaaay too much time on it lol

So anyway, that's how I got into hiking. 2 comments

I basically dress like Snape so I got the first one. Still working on the other two though.
Edit: Actually sometimes I go to the woods to get pine cones, leaves, moss and sticks to make potpourri. I love when my house smells like the forest. So actually I'm only missing the children part.

Just as I was getting into the car to leave, the brown one at the front started scratching her head on the tree. Sad I didn't get that, it was so darn cute.

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to film from afar as not to disturb the pigeon. Also I was laughing my ass off while filming.

@guest_ I suppose it depends on what you define as harm. When you get a job, logically someone else didn't, and they're sad about it. Does that classify as harm? It could in reality be a net gain because they might go on to find a job that fits them better. When you step on grass and crush some bugs, you didn't mean to harm them, it just sort of happens as a result of your existence. This I see as a sort of balance, a natural cycle. Where I do see real harm is us messing up whole ecosystems and causing extinctions or consuming things made by slave labor. I'd say we should all be more mindful of our choices but even that is a privileged statement, not everyone would be able to make ends meet if they only shopped from local farmers or bought ethically made clothes. But as @promanchild said, I have been seeing some positive change lately, so I'm generally somewhat positive about the future. Let's hope it's enough, I guess?
