I tried to like tablets, but nothing feels like flipping through the pages of a book.

Yes ! I look like an idiot in a bookstore with my nose buried in the pages snorting up that smell. And I don't even care.

I just hate how expensive books are compared to tablets like in NZ its $20 for a book and $4 for a downloaded book

Mainly because it costs next to nothing to distribute digital copies, but it costs money to print paper

sure, amazing qualities. a simple 16gb tablet can hold thousands of book, do you have any idea howmany trees have to cut to make that many books. "adapt to improving technology, Save trees".

What if I told you that new trees have been growing since long before you were born. Not to mention lightning causes tons of fires that destroy a great many trees, and none of those become books, or furniture, or anything, really, aside from carbon and fertilizer for more trees.

I was sharing a personal love for books, not making a statement on the state of the environment. I also definitely don't count making amazing, life affirming, knowledge giving objects as a waste of resources.

I honestly hate reading no matter how much I try to like it. It's just not for me.

No, don't throw it against the wall!! Books have feelings and that hurts them! (I love books)

Don't place in water. You know...like you wouldn't place it's electronic counterparts in water?

actually to the drop resistance, I had a book, where the point was to destroy it, and one of the pages said" Through erratically and sudden, as hard has you can" and I think I broke the book doing that
