He's not really in the second half of the movie very much. Gale isn't there like Peeta is all the time.

In the book, there are a few painted picture scenes. The one with Rue, the one when Peeta shows Katniss his gallery, where he shows off his favourite colour...

Gale's in it more so than the 1st one, I think. But it's not like he dominates the screen. That job was saved especially for Peeta. *dreamy sigh*
